what i hate the most is when your flying over your airfield or anyone on your team for that matter and they clearly see the enemy jet on your tail and they don't spot it for you. that blows

Yep. I try to spot everything: it helps my team very much. I even try to spot invisible boats.

I usually spot everything that would more than likely take a good number of people to take it out, such as when people are grouping or when a plane, helicopter or tank comes my way.

A bit OT, a fun thing to do is to spot alot of fake snipers and pretend you are in a sniper duel when you're waiting on a jet. Lots of people fall for it.

All the time, I hear a sniper, tank, jet I find him and spot him. It's the first thing I do then aim.

Call me lazy, but I didn't read three pages of posts. I'll just add my 2 cents and maybe read these later (when it's not 2:45am).

I spot like crazy. Everything... troops, tanks, snipers, apcs, helos, jets, etc. I can't stand it when people don't spot. The only time I don't is if I'm hiding and don't want to give away my position. It's also bothersome when you spot, and no one even takes care to notice. I.E. spot a tank, and your team mate in the jet just flies by, as if to say, "Hi, I'm glad you see a tank. Good Luck."

I've also run into a problem lately, especially with armor, that I'll "spot" it, but really won't. So I say, "Enemy spotted" (or some other generic phrase) with a big ole "?" on the map when it really should be a tank. It's a big surprise for anyone who comes running over expecting some infantry, and they see a tank.

I spot everything. I also tell my clan to do the same its good teamwork for matches etc.

I feel its my duty if I cannot take a target out (AT or Sniping usually) I spot it....

I always spot helis regardless.

I like to spot the little basterds before i shot if he is running around a building or something then you can think of the best way to jump on him and have your way with him.

I also spot for a living. I spot what I shoot, if someone wants to rob me of the kill, then fine, as long as his dead. Always spotting jets, so my boys on the ground know when to 'duck N cover' but more so, cos friendly jets can deal with them.

I also dislike people who once spotted a tank, think thats its ok no never re-spot it 15 seconds after. New people will spawn in and with not have know about the spotted tank. Respoting is important.

Q spotting, should always be done before firing. My problem is trying Q spot in OTHER GAMES - LOL !!!!! - when you have that problem, you know your a safe spotter :)

I spot everything I can. It's amazing how fast you can pop off with spotted. I hardly hold down Q for a millisecond. It took me a while to get over sacrificing myself to spot a tank. That extra second of facing the tank would always get me killed, so I just hide around the corner and select Tank from the list while not actually looking at it with the spotted dot.
