Re: how many of you "spot"
I try and spot land vehicles and choppers especially when they are getting near to our main or just near to a flag where everyone is spawning. I don't know that it does much good, but the team is made aware.Comment

Re: how many of you "spot"
All the time matey..its invaluable.I love it when i see the enemy taking a sneaky outflanking route and I give the shout out 'enemy spotted' for my team who then rip em to shreds.
Ive played on a lot of servers and people do use it it alot,I find its almost second nature to hit the spot command.
It saves asses! :)Comment

Re: how many of you "spot"
I usually spot anything that I think might help my teammates, and was not previously spotted by commander, or UAV.
I find it very helpful when teammates spot objects for me to show up on the minimap. And I usually spot before I shoot at someone just incase I don't make it...Comment

I spot as much as I can. Like Glennyboy said...it's invaluable.
Although it may be annoying, it's also very important for commanders to spot as much as possible. I hate commanders that don't spot anything, but instead rely too much on UAV.Comment

Re: how many of you "spot"
you shouldn't spot as much as you can, as it spams chat for your team, which is invaluable to squads that arn't using VOIP.Originally posted by -FaKe|ArsonI spot as much as I can. Like Glennyboy said...it's invaluable.

Re: how many of you "spot"
Good placement of UAV, and spotting the most important threats is usually enough. It makes no sense to spot lone wolves that are outside everyones reach.
Also if a whole group of people are attacking a flag one of your squads is taking, don't call out every single troop. It is usually enough to direct your people's attention to the direction that the opponents are attacking from. It often helps your squad if you then give them a "move your men here" indicator on the map, so that they know where it's safest to go, and where least resistance is waiting for them. Use voip to tell the individual squadleaders how many men are attacking from which direction.
But I agree that "too much" spotting can hider the game in some way. I do rely a lot on my audio to track gunshot, and vehicle direction and distance in order to efficiently fight the enemy. If it is necessary for the commander to do that many enemy spottings he should consider placing a UAV over that area
