I'm just going to give this thread a bump to help others who have missed it. Still looking for comments and requests for the next video, which will be on Dragon Valley.

    Next, Dragon Valley.

You can't bump if the last post in the thread is your own .

You covered the heloing pretty damn well with the first video.

Id say as a tutorial, a small lesson, it was almost perfect. You explained why you were where you were and whatnot.

Great video. Thanks for the tip on changing to TV-view every once in a while, I haven't thought about that before

It's a hard thing to master, but I agree, it looks fun and seems easy :)!

The trick of seeing the crosshair on Dragon Valley, is to press the TAB key while guiding...
It's a bit harder to see the enemy chopper through the TAB screen, but you CAN see the crosshair...

Is the TAB screen transparent at all?

it helps to see where the crosshair is...

Use it to help you guide...

See Duck and cover from ReduX on google video, as he uses it to aim for the enemy chopper on dragon valley...

                    Agreed

however it is annoying for the gunner, if only you could change the colour of your crosshair

Soli, great video. You seem like a real good pilot. You definately covered a lot with the first video, can't wait for the next

I have a suggestion. How about not being a solo playing, helicopter hog?! Your video disgusts me, especially the base rape at the beginning.

Sloi, dont pay attention to people asking for a "crew" video. Its way too hard, and requires actually two people talking in the same time, plus recording of the audio conversation and a split screen mode, so you view the gunner and the pilot at the same time. Plus the narration from both sides (BTW- its a hint for an ULTIMATE chopper video).

If you solo, and talk, you give us a perfect perspective from a chopper crew through one players eyes. Looking forward to the video.
Thats why I prefer a solo choppering video, even though I dont like soloing.

One carrier related kill hardly constitutes baseraping: in order for that to be the case, I would have to do so repeatedly... but I digress.

The techniques and comments shown in this video are presented to help the pilot who is either unable to find a gunner to fill the seat or cannot enlist the aid of a competent one in times of need.

Armed with the knowledge and ability to fill both positions, you may end up giving your team the edge necessary to win (not only can you perform both duties well, but you also allow your team another infantryman to help capture flags).

Finally, it's just plain fun. I suggest you lighten up a bit

I've got a request. Remake your video, but this time with 60 people in the server and not 15. See how well your "tactics" work. The simple fact is, they won't.

Your tactics ONLY worked due to the large map and sparse population. Had there actually been a sizeable amount of people playing, you wouldn't have been able to pull off even a quarter of the shots you demonstrated. IGLAs, FAVs and those J10s would have been all over you during those TV shots.

Don't get me wrong, you demonstrated control of the copter and decent strafing ability, but hovering 2-300 ft up and simply spamming Hellfires (Hellfires are TV missles, Hydras are the 8 unguided mini rockets, a mistake you made during your commentary a few times, you got the two mixed up) is far from combat flying.

Really would be interested in seeing those TV shots made when the server had a full team, rather than 15-16 people on a 64 player map. We'll see how good your situational awareness is then
