I cant agree here. If SOMEONE doesnt take the Jet, then the enemy will and u have 4 vs zero planes in the sky against you. Even if some fella who cant fly take it, its better then the enemy takes it and use it against your team.
No i just hate joining a game then having to sit at an empoty base while the oppositions points dwindle to about 40 when they eventually capture a base because our jets wont let them off the carrier. Its boring, i defy anyone to think otherwise, unless of course they join a server for the magnificent scenery to enjoy, or to watch jets fly to teh carrier to bomb it.

I did title the thread a rant mate. Its my personal hatered nothing more and if you bothered to read my post you would see i gave reasons, that were by and large team reletaed rather than personal glory mate so its not just a case of me being jelous of kill counts actually, i just dont like to lose because some 12 year old punk like to get a big kill count inhis jet.
The problem to your solution is to play in well adminned servers that have good regulars that get the jets/choppers , but work for the team.
Again if u had read i had already said i have my own server and I wasnt looking for a soloution , i was merely ranting. Its a problem with the people who play BF2 and its never likely to be resolved as long as people are selfish, greedy and stupid.

Yea but there is ALWAYS someone to take the jet. Are you really telling me you need 5 people to jump around the jet spawn while tehre are still 2 jets up in the sky and the rest of the team are trying to defend and capture flags? Thats bollocks mate.
if a pilot goes 45-1 in a jet, he's helped your team a lot. That's 45 tickets he bled from them.
That's what wins rounds, tickets.
You should want the best pilot to be in the air, killing everything he can, makes it much easier on the rest of the team when there's fewer enemies making it bases (or off the carrier)

Although INTERESTINg and ENTERTAINING, you will create opposition, and those arent 12 year old pointwhores. Im 21, flying always for the team. Yet you label me under the same category as the people I myself hate too. You know whats even worse? You clearing up an entire base, and your team failing to capture it. You clearing the entire BEACH, air force, and your team taking sun on the carrier. You want me to go on?

I have no problem with good pilots, and by good pilots i dont just mean skilled pilots. Skilled pilots out for their own glory , whethere they are taking tickets or not dont make for good pilots. Ture a pilot taking 99-0 may be adding to their team in ticket respect, but flyboys rarely if ever pature flags. Its great trying to outkill your opposition but when thats failing its another matter.
A pilot who does everything in his power to follow orders or help the TEAM oput by chosing to try and take out the enemy tank thats pinning down some team memebrs rather than going for the 5 kills they get on the carrier is obviously a good pilot and using the jet as it was intended. My point is these are few and far between and for every one of these guys you get a hundred or more selfish players who consider themselved "a good pilot".

Thats because you guys always choose to bomb a flag thats under attack by friendlies (9/10) THere is nothing worse than taking a flag and having a cool firefight that you and your team are winning or atleast have it under control while takign a flag for some fly boy to come and save the day by dropping a bomb on all of you! Why not attack choppers? Why not attack other planes, why not bomb undeffended flags? to me bombs shouldnt be used unless a pilot is 100% certain the base is undeffended. Generally this isnt the case all too often pilots are way too keen to drop a betty on anyone.
Sure we do, but its every game. Its something that people just do and will carry on doing for as long as games allow them to. Its annoying.
I played a lot of different Online games and people do their very best to circumvent rules, use exploits at the max, looking for holes in the Rules to exploit, they just do everything to gain a advantage over others.

I generalise yes because its balaitantly the majority of players who do this, and i thinkits fair to say that. As I say, for every one good pilot you see, there are a hundred or more bad ones. As for punishing i rarely punish team members. If i think the kill was unintended orwas indee myown fault then I wont. I fi think its just some flyboy trying to steal a few kills from a flag under attack yet under control I WILL. Why the hell are they bombing a target with friendlies on it ANYWAY? Why not wait to see what happens first? 9/10 in that situation its the pilot at fault.

Pature or capture? You had a lot of typos so Im unsure. You have to accept that a jets job is to KILL, and soften up defenses. Thats why a pilot in a squad is a great addition.

Ive had this so many times... Ive done this so many times. Good pilots can make so much more fun. And seriously, you have to forgive for a misdropped bomb, sometimes people do this in their best intentions.

Indeed, agreed. But sometimes you have to see the minimap. If I for example didnt support you with that tank, I was either busy in a dogfight, or bombing a flag that we just lost, that went neutral. Its not white and black.

settle down cowboy. I'm the pilot you wish were on more servers. I do whatever I can to help my team win. One thing I hate though is when I see a tank owning my teammates and I bomb it and kill one of my teammates that I guess was trying to c4 the tank or something and they punish. I guess that's part of the reason a lot of pilots don't provide support. They got the tk punishes as they take off then they gotta worry about killing teammates helping out. So they just say screw it and focus on enemy spawns where odds are no teammates are close.

thats allu hear from thejet fan bois. What about if the team has no flags? Jets dont capture flags and kills dont always secure victories. Plus its boring for the ground troops if the jets are taking all the kills.
