I will buy it - i just hope all those whiners who first got everything in the game nerfed, then whined some more about the fact things were nerfed, then whine about not buying 2142 truly dont buy it! Because perhaps then EA/Dice will be able to focus on fixing whatever bugs are in the game rather than trying to cater for the whiners.

*I am referring solely to whiners, not people who are just not interested in buying the game.

voted no. bf2142 looks like chaos. too many gimicks for the kids (whatever age) and little team work.

Looking forward to EOD mod.

Suprised no one is looking to Armed Assault as the BF replacement. Never played OPF but heard good things.

Ill buy it if it gets over 90% in PC Format UK Edition, Gamespot,IGN and computerandvideogames.com, i think PCFormat gave Bf2 87% and they gave EF 50%, lol, they reckon its the laziest mod effort ever, even the uniforms are US, so i kinda tend to trust them on their reviews.

As a game i think BF2 is fantastic( ok few minor bugs, and newly introduced CTD's ), but i think the support code is absolutly terrible, i mean how many times have i reinstalled BF2, if theres any problem with the installer it just says Error, retry installation and you can only click ok, absolutely no error message. The server browser was only fixed for 1 patch and were back to square one on it again. Junk, complete junk.

Ive never ever in my life spent so much time trying to get this game working reasonably well/reinstalling/patching/cleaning caches, install a mode -> content modification errors, its become my second job, and without the community nobody would play this game, EA support is non existent

Meh, a game is a game. I honestly dont care about the developers past as long as the game is decent. Of course there will be the usual bugs but I expect that. I can deal with the ones in BF2 now and Im sure I can deal with the bugs in 2142 later. I will be buying 2142. And a new mac to play it on :evil:

yeah with the 1.3 they are giving their all to kill bf2, but what the crapzor is that? Why wouild i play 23424 when they treat their players like ****? **** them, kill them.

I won't get 2142 simply because it looks totally retarted.

At least they can't get the vehicles and weapons wrong. Since they are just making them up anyway.

BF2 can be saved only by team that works on ForgottenHope2 mod and thats the only reason that bf2 is still installed on my PC.

This is for people who are fed up with the way EA and Dice are supporting this game. If you are unhappy select what best describes how you plan on dealing with EA in the future as a result of your displeasure.

PS: If you consider this whining then please find another thread to complain. Please just tell us how you plan on dealing with Dice/EA, as a consumer, in the future. If enough people can voice their disgust we may be able to get a reaction from this corporate behemoth.

If you really wanna do some damage then file a class action lawsuit. Then again, EA has tons of money to litigate with. Atleast it will hurt their image alot more after the EA spouse debacle. I don't see any reason why a judge would throw the case out. We're obviously the victims of poorly made products that we paid for.

Problem is that a lot will say they won't buy but they will. If you look at it from EA's POV they produce a game sell X 000's of copies for a console.

So it ships with a few bugs but that's they way it goes. No patch needed, to properly do a PC game with massive on-line stuff then it doesn't produce the numbers.

The only way they would properly do it is if there was money in it. Currently with the boosters producing medicore returns you end up with a half arsed approach. Cue the 1.3 patch, well in fact wasn't there a 1.01 but then needed to reinstall as it was rubbish, then a patch that caused all linux servers to crash.......

etc It's just EA they will never change until they can finance a game long term.

I wonder if anyone's ever considered these BF2 screw-ups perposfully coincide with BF 2114. Maybe they're hoping we'll give in and buy the new one.

I'll play the demo regardless if they fix BF2, but I don't think I am going to give EA/DICE anymore money. ET: QW is where my cash is going.
