We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
This is for people who are fed up with the way EA and Dice are supporting this game.
I'm dissapointed with how they've "updated" the game as far as patches but I realize they're not perfect and everyone works damn hard to meet deadlines...I think they've done a good job considering the amount of people that bought/play the game.
Not a chance of me ever buying an EA product again, or even ever thinking about competing at a clan-level with an EA product. I've been one of the biggest fans of BF2, but since about three months ago, it has been right-royally screwed. I can't even play the thing with all of the CTD's and server crashes introduced in patch 1.3.
But even if I could play the game right now (which I can't), the way the've removed the ability to use unlocks on unranked servers was like a kick in the nuts for our BF2 clan-league. EA has killed off the Australian GameArena BF2 league of over 3000 players (100+ teams, fielding 16 players each side per scrim), and I will never trust them to support a game I've invested so much time in, ever again.
Even if they could fix it. Even if they did fix it. I'll be taking a break until ET:QW is released, and then it's goodbye EA forever, regardless of what happens from now until that time. The trust is, quite simply, gone.
I'm never gonna by EA/DICE product and not because of balance or hacks or players ... but because with time passing by i got more CrashToDesktop's ,more Connection problems, more Browser problems ... those are the basic game functions ... and dont tell me that other games have bugs, i know that, but not like this ... when i look at bf2 now ... it looks like beta project that is going to be released in late autumn 2006. .... or is it going to be so?
I will enjoy what little life is left in BF2. It has been a good year. But it's time to bury this glittering monument to whiney nooblets who managed to get everything nerfted in the game and turn it into a bug ridden game that is constantly being loaded with new features instead of being properly repaired.
I will probably not purchase 2142, because I dont believe there is going to be a decent video game made any time soon that contains "non-nerfted" content.
AF will probably be my last game purchase for a while. We are evaluating other games that holds potential including mods.
I am eagerly looking forward to games in the future where players use properly coded weapons in a world that is realistic and has proper physics built in. Games such as Bf2 has made me nauseated with the constant sight of aircraft running over bunches of teammates and the very expert use of punishes, tk's and other greifing as weapons against fellow players to get them kicked, banned or otherwise out of the enjoyment of what could have been a top game.
I have seen so many online games have great potential only to get dumbed down and buried by developers who are only interested in the next great game and by players unwilling to quit whining and actually stand up and play with courage and skill instead of beating on the forums or the punish button.
I dont care, If it gets good reviews ill buy it, just like all other games, but first ill get Hitman Blood Money. Plus I got great fun from this game and I definately got my money's worth, and to be honest im still having fun with LAN games on CO-OP. Try having 2 human players v 32 bots on Hard on sharqi Peninsula, just wait in the TV station for 4 mins and watch the carnage, GREAT FUN!!!
bf2 is run on the same game engine on bf1942 which annoys me plus 2142 is all hyped up making ppl get it but in the end it prob has more hasstle than what bf2 has now so no i hate ea games anyway but the fact is who else is such a big supplier of games for pc
I'm not buying anymore EA games, they give the worst community support. I know they work hard to bring out these patchs. I just wish they would stop listening to the Whiners, everything is being nerfed all the time. Thats what really gets to me
You know what I find insane, people will actualy pay money for such crap even when there fu*ked over time and again. I read a quote somewhere a couple of days ago that when something like this.
You would never fly in a plane built by Software Engineers.
Why on earth do people accept such crap products is beyond me, you wouldnt accept that if it was a car or a house and you defenetly wouldnt buy from the same company again so why with software?
I dont intend to buy it. I dont really like the futuristic concept, I hearing its on the same engine as BF2 and instead of fixing bugs like the red teammate they just nerf stuff.
Well ya it is built on the same gaming engine (which is for sale btw as a private builder or game maker... cool site btw). Yet alot of company's do this to save money and time. Look at the past games that did this. The point I am making is all this lets go on strike will do no good. I mean if you want to by all means do it...
But as we all know people have said Oh i am not buying that game or add on and alot do anyways. People will still buy it with or without any of us and the game will do good. I bet it even makes game of the year. You think EA actually cares one way or the other. Ok enough rambling I'm off to bed...goodnight all!
