    Yup...mouselook completely disables flight controls.

    Lame, eh?

That's why I've been begging for true native hatswitch support since BF1942.

No problem... I'll have to give WarRock a try now..you're the second person I've heard mention it.

Try JoyToKey and see for yourself if there is a difference.

Also, do you force BF2.exe into high priority mode or anything? If so, that severely affects input devices.
GREAT! I read a thread receintly, regarding running BF2 in High Priority,
and nobody said anything about devices being affected!! Running BF2 in
high priority mode seemed to help the game load times, and connection etc..

Well for every positive there is a negative I guess.. No more High Priority
for me I guess.. I would rather wait for the loadup, than have my controllers
          lacking in processing.

Thanks for the heads up TALUS.. S~

Yeah, I too would like to have a load time advantage by using the 'high priority tweak' but I would rather have all of my fun controllers working instead

An alternative would be to also increase the priority of all processes that run your peripherals..but that can be tricky.

Struggling to get it to work here, but if its any help I think your .bat file can be improved like this:

              start JoyToKey.exe bf2.cfg
              start JoyToKey.exe bf2a.cfg

You then dont need to ship the shortcuts, which never works very well with Windows anyhow!

              Cheers,

              Zebs

I find the mouselook in bf2 kind of useless, because you cannot move you'r jet while looking around... But it's nice at least be possible to do with the POV Hat :) And also having the commo thingy in you'r joystick, it's great !

*note* I'm not a computer retard

You may have to try downloading a newer version of WinRAR or Z-zip or whatever app you like to use.

The files appear fine when I downloaded them to test it just now...

I did it with the shortcuts because I found that I didn't like the black command prompt windows flashing up

It looks very useful being able to turn left and right in the cockpit of a chopper as pilot (as shown in bf podcast ep16). Is there anyway to add this ability to a standard mouse/keyboard setup as I dont like using joysticks?

Hi, may I ask for some help on my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick.

For some reason, when i tilt my joystick to the left, my aircraft will roll right, and when i tilt my joystick to the right, my aircraft will roll left. Does anyone know how to fix that? Also does anyone know what I should set for Accelerate/Deccelerate/Steer Right/Steer Left?

And may I ask what Joystick Axis 2 and Joystick Axis 3 are, and where I can set them?

I had the same issue, and then I realized the real simple solution..

Go into you control setup again, and clear out all of the flight
settings for roll left & right, and pitch etc...

Now when you go to assign becareful.. Select the roll left and push
your stick to the left, and then set the right...

I think if you are using the default settings, things are no right.

I think if you do this you will be good to go..

Also if you are using this joy to key, and are using Talus' setup cfgs
you have to becareful because certain movments will cause you to drop
bombs or bail out spontaniously.. I believe his CFG was set up for the MS
Sidewinder, and it has button number assignments a bit different. I generally
do not have too much trouble with his setup though..

                          Good luck

Now..if only DICE would learn to program better joystick support into their games
