Its good and JoyToKey is great .-) but I have one question.....

When the mouse look button is pressed down, then on HUDispley the horizontal and vertical line with annotations (elevation, speed, bars..) go off (not show) and helicopter/jet dont be able to control.... only Throttle and rudder are workable...

I have Saitek X52 + rudder pedals...

Is it only my abnormal case? or it is feature of battlefield..?

And try to use WEBCAM and software CAM2PAN...... it is little homebuild equal to TRACK IR ,-))) and it so most greatly then POV on joy ,-))))

Re: Edit.. Now I know, that it is normal as wrote in other threat .-(((( (With mouselook you will lose control over the craft) but it is not too realistically .-( in helicopter i would like to look where the target is ,-) Dosnt anybody know any way to solve..? config files edit ?

Unfortunately, that is BF2. Mouselooking completely disables the HUD and control of the vehicle

If you're looking for padlocking (I think that's what it's called when you automatically track your view to a target), it does not exist in BF2.

You probably have some sort of software firewall/ad-blocking software running? If so, turn it off or disable it temporarily (if not permanently )

What is the exact error?
What browser are you using?

I still have no clue how to set this up. All I want to bind are my tophat. What are the button numbers for it? I've got a Logi 3DPro.

Also once I configure it do I have to open it it every time I play?
Also what does POV mean?

Hi i am very new to Bf2 and find the whole control system of operating jets and vehicles exceedinly awkward from just a keyboard, particularly over sensitive on aircraft. I have read all the blurb posted here and interesting as it is , it all seems rather complicated to install the use of a joystick.I am not an IT pc litarate guy i just like to play the game. My question? Can i use the joystick once installed to fly the aircraft only, and switch to keyboard once the aircraft is downed? Also which joysticks are supported in this game?

Yup...there are 2 sets of controls that you can use for each action, primary bind and secondary bind. Actions are split up into categories (each with their own config screen): Infantry, Airplane, Helo, and Vehicles/Armor.

So, all you have to do is go to the Airplane section of the controls config screen and map your joystick axes and buttons in the secondary bind columns.

Voila...joystick while you're in a jet, and good old mouse and keyboard for everything else (and you can still use mouse and keyboard for the jets too if you want).

Any joystick that is supported in Windows XP (i.e. shows up under Game Controllers) should work in BF2.

To find out, simply click in a bind box on the controls screen and click a joystick button or move the axes.

It could work as-is..have you tried simply loading the JoyToKey files as I have listed in the first post an seeing if it works?

I'm just curious but the *.bat file which is included, loads 2 profiles at once.
So this means that the joytokey can't be set up normaly with just one profile to work with the POV in BF2?

thanks talus I got it to work after changin around some buttons, I ended up getting it so i only have to push 1 button to spot, which i find alot easier than they way you had it. For anyone that would want it like that, change ur comma rose button to the mouse button desired, and then with joytokey map the same to mouse left click, and you just press and release to spot.

Correct.

The reason being, mouselooking in BF2 REQUIRES holding down an additional key (default key is 'control').

If they'd just institute native POV hat control, we'd have no need for this stuff.

I don't use a joystick yet, but rather my keyboard.

So what truly is 'Mouse Look' and how does it benefit the BF2 player? Call me new, call me a rookie, but I have that function set to a bind for both the helicopter and for the jet. I press the 'Mouse Look' key and see nothing changed. Am I missing something here?
