Hi,

I begin to use planes in BF2 and I've tried Joy2Key with files included page 1.

My first try was unsuccessful because nothing happened. I edited the .cfg file and found key 'Q' was emulated. You use qwerty keyboard while french players use azerty keyboards.

Replacing with 'A', it works ! Thx Talus !

I think you may have some competition now. That's one of the reasons I don't fly too much...never got the HAT switch working. Saitek AV8R at full functionality.

How can I set it up for use with the "T" key toggle. Can I have it setup for both "Q" & "T" so I can give orders from the air or designate a supply drop or artillary ???

Great program btw, and glad to see someone out there uses Precision 2 Joystick.

I think Saitek products, although very well made indeed, have flawed software (very buggy)

I have an Eclipse USB keyboard and it shows up in the dang Game Controller config panel. As if I had the version of the keyboard with the external keypad. Anyways try loading up Windows Update with you joystick plugged in and see if an updated driver is available from Windows Update site. This might get that HAT switch to work. Otherwise check on Saitek.com and see if there are any software for that joystick.

How do I click with the joystick ?? Like using POV to bring up the rose, then clicking with joystick to spot it.

I'm new here and i was looking for a few tips to make my joystick works with bf2. Still i need help :P

See... I have a "JETION Flight Rocker" joystick, off course natively it didn't work with bf2 :hmm: .

The joystick have 7 buttons and a throttle wheel.

I've been trying to make it work with joytokey but i couldn't, when i start bf2 with joystick plugged in my PC, quits immediately... :S

Talus or someone else, can you guys help me? I don't wanna buy another joystick by now, i really wanna make this work

I also have this joystick but have not been able to get mouse look onto the hat switch.

How did you do it?

Hey, I'm having trouble finding out how to work this program.

I have a Logitech Attack 3. And I want to be able to look around using the joystick like you would using the mouse and pressing Ctrl. Would someone be able to set-up a config for me? Because I'm absolutely stumped as to what to do, and Talus' config that he posted isn't working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I remember using this a while back on my old computer and it worked great, however I didn't use your config; I made my own. Now, though, with a new computer (with windows vista) I installed JoyToKey again and for some reason it won't work anymore. I set everything up, one config for the POV mouse axis and one for the L Ctrl. I even tested it on my desktop, using my POV hat to move the mouse around. Then I set Button 7 to "Q" on one config and button 7 on "Mouse Click Left" on the other, for spotting enemies. When I go to BF2 and try it out however, nothing works. I can minimize BF2 and still move the mouse around with the Hat buttons, but it won't work in BF2. I don't have a clue what's wrong, is it because I have vista now?

EDIT: I also made sure that Joy2Key detected my joystick as Joy1 by running JoyID, and it said Logitech Extreme3D Pro as my first priority.

2nd Edit: HAH.. This is like answering myself :laugh: . I tried running Joy2Key as an administrator, just like I have to do with BF2, and IT WORKED!! Except, I cant run 2 Joy2Key programs at once that way, it wont let me. As soon as I run a second one it BEEPS and then nothing happens. There's still one, so... I still need help. Now I can use the Commo Rose, but no Spotted.

Does this work with controllers and joysticks or just joysticks? Cuz I bought a controller and the I can't get the mouse-function to move. I can only move forward and back, and left and right. I can't look around as if using a mouse.

Tried same config. Well it works but I am not going to use
Major drawbacks:

1. Moves much slower than mouselook using mouse
2. Your jet does not respond when you mouselook

So when I use it takes too much time,

I will stick to fly by and rear views

Yes, the link to the .zip with the HAT pre-programmed is broken, it brings us back to totalbf2's main forum menu. Can you please fix this? Just tried to as Joy2key to my start menu and it screwed up.
