Is it the same team? Because my friend contacted one of the people, I think it was the head, and asked if they were gonna make another mod and the person said that they were done. DC was amazing though. I had a lot of fun with it although I only played it for like 3 months. The dumbfire missles were awesome and had a great level of skill.

Desert Conflict is being developed by Desert Combat beta testers and supporters. Trauma Studios or original Desert Combat developers are not included in the developement of Desert Conflict.

If we even keep the commander in the mod, his abilities will be almost nothing like that of BF2. We want the players on the battlefield to take care of the jobs that the commander does magically from his stupid little hiding spot.

They also said something about squad leader spawning. I know in FH2 they are implementing like a 'spawn tent' that has to be deployed in a certain location and by a squad leader.

I dont think there are many 1942 servers, I had it a few months ago and I could only locate like 5. By now, i doubt there are any,

I really like the cannon on the a-10, so powerful. The main thing I appreciated about DC was the ability to take out enemy planes in a variety of ways. Personally I cant stand flyboys in BF2 going around and killing everything in sight with ease with little fear of being knocked out from the ground. This is why city maps are so popular imo.

um yeah, BF2 is nothing like DC. DC was so in depth, you actually had to aim your artillery, becuase it was actually a howitzer you could drive around...Um SCUD, LittleBirds, Gazelle, Bigger maps, more variety of maps, Dog fighting was more challenging, Flying helicopters was more challenging, and more rewarding.

Three, the Maverick one is located on Iwo Jima, if the US take the airfield.

See what I mean, there were so many vehicles and variants, it's hard to remember all of them lol.

That game kicked ass, I mite even start playing it again, I'm so freakin bored playing the same 3-5 maps over and over and freakin over again lol.

I'm just waiting for USI, DCon and Pirates.

I never had DC..BF2 is where I hopped into the battlefield boat. I played 42 for about a week before BF2 came out, and I spent all my time on coral sea 24/7, even though I was a lousy pilot. I really wish we had a carrier vs carrier map in BF2.

All this information is making me wonder if I should buy 1942 and get DC as well. It's dirty f'ing cheap now. What other BF2 maps are in 1942? I heard gulf of oman was originally a 1942 map.

DC > BF2 hands down. In BF2, ppl get so obsessed w/leaderboards, medals, ranks, ribbons, unlocks, etc. While in DC ppl just played. Plus for BF1942 rankings/leaderboard, there was BFTracks.com (3rd party) which is based more on performance rather than cummulative global score.

DC was more fun. No doubt.
In DC you play 2 hours it felt like 10 minutes. In bf2, it well, feels like 2 hours.
My biggest feeling on differences is that in DC Anti Air was just that. It worked.
IN DC, a helo lasted no more then 20 seconds at a flag full of enemies. In BF2, what? 2 minutes? Thats simply not good for gameplay.
In other words, as it should be, if a pilot felt the need to go near the ground, he had an extremely high percentage of being taken down. Very High. In BF2, its so low, i doubts its even taken into consideration.
Thats probally the biggest thing i've noticed. AA in DC worked well, in BF2, it really doesnt do much.

Which is what im saying....... the gameplay in DC was simply better then what BF2 has.
Hey, i love to play bf2. I dont dislike it in the slightest. However if your gonna compare, DC was and is, the better choice for gameplay and overall fun.
