Khafji docks, lost village, desert sheild CTF games were just brilliant...and so different from normal games.....i can still remember fondly having the flag in an ATV (in desert sheild) madly driving over the ridge, being chased by 2 planes a heli and about 3 tanks....heart absolutely pounding...only to be AC10'd about 2 ft from the capture point and then watching from my death screen the pilot parachute down to save his flag....good days. U never felt helpless against the air vehicles in DC like u do in BF2....different game different challenges i guess

DC is soo much more fun than BF2 in almost all ways :).

Nothing like having a good spotter and SCUD whoring .

Tell you one thing, the M4 Carbine for the Specforces was a damned lethal little weapon. It had a scope and was suppressed.

Basrah's edge was a great map.

There was certainly a lot more vehicles, to the OP here is what I remember....

Then, as has already been mentioned, there were the boats, that were completely controllable. Some maps even had missile corvettes.

there was so many ways to defend against air attacks. BF2 lost that and made most of the big maps a pilots shooting gallery.

Heh, yeah. They were very hard to steer and you laughed each time you ran someone over with them :p

It was actually a CAR-15, since the M4A1 wasn't put in service till after the war.

And it was not a 2S9, it was a 2S1 M1974.

And don't forget the more fun vehicles like F-15 and F-14, aswell as my favourite, the AV-8! It actually had a hover engine that was VERY useful, could outmanouver any other plane in the right hands.

Loved the M6 Linebacker and the SA-9 Gaskin :)

MMMM i use the play el alamein all the time on a server call TNT El Alamein.

It would be cool if the same team would make a DC mod for BF2 but using the BF2 engine, with the updated graphics mmmmmmm sweeta

DC was the ****. More vehicles than a Jersey pigeon could **** on and more variety of vehicles, 31 maps to go with it also.

The maps are a lot different also, there is a good mix of very open and very urban style maps. And enough vehicles in every map to go around for the majority of the folks on a 64 man server.

This guy forgot a few, and easy to understand why when you look at how many vehicles there are:

The Trauma crew had very little to do with BF2 though, they helped develop the commander thing and a couple of minor things in the game, but other than that, they had very little impact/input into the making of the game.

Basrah's Edge was such a fun map. :) I remember playing on the 3 Stooges server a bunch. I remember people would land the AC130 in the enemy base and people would just keep spawning out of it... It was so funny.
