I doubt EA would have reset this guy based upon a bunch of hearsay. Maybe me and some of you. But not a top ranked player without knowing something about.him.

EA is often dump as a stump, but they had to know this one would make front page news and the fallout if they were wrong would be at least as bad as the last couple of patches.

Hell as much as he was online. They could have picked anytime they wanted to spec the guy.

I just wish everyone would just play legit. For crying out loud, I just play to have fun. Why can't others do the same? I don't worry about badges and medals. I don't even look them up on how to gain them. I'll just be playing along and, bam, wow, I got a ribbon. I still don't have my knife badge...simply because...I don't run around knifing people when I should be not risking tickets for our team.

you guys can think what you want,i know i didnt cheat,hack or exploit,you act as if Ea cant be wrong or make a mistake.
and if i knew what i did i would fess up to it since there would be no point in lying.
but since i didnt do anything and since Ea has not responded to my posts and still hasnt sent out a email and all these small minded look at me i busted firestorm posting noobs still have not produced and evidence to verify there claims to fame,i see
no reason why you still continue to view someone guilty befor the trial.
every person that has come to our TS has been answered and responded to with respect,instead of flaming me perhaps a 30 second log in and a chat to get more then one side of the coins story would be more productive then he said she said claims.
if there is proof post it,if you are afraid to post your evidence it is a simple concept to do the math and see that just because i was #1 many would love to claim the lime light and infact are worse then any padder,glitcher or exploiter out there.
lets see all this proof,all these links to the Ea"this is what he did posts".... its just a simple fact that this evidence just point blank doesnt exsist.
moongamers TS is open to the public and i have been on it non stop since this happened hoping to get a reason for this madness and i have yet to get any sign from anyone anywhere that this is soon to be given.feel free to log on ask your questions but as i said without the proof,there is no pudding.

If it's truly a mistake then I feel bad for you man but you have to realize how this looks. On one hand we have you and your friends proclaiming your innocence and on the other hand we have EA who looked at the evidence and reset your stats based on that. I'm sure you are a nice guy but that really has no bearing on whether you are innocent or not. The only people who know for sure are you and the EA people with access to the logs. If it really is a mistake then I hope you get it sorted out but if you really did cheat even just to try it out, you got what you deserved.

Oh come on...nobody knows what EA did. They haven't made any attempt to say what they have done. No evidence has ever been posted. I'm sorry, but I refuse to believe that somebody got proof of the #1 ranked guy on the leaderboard cheating and didn't post it somewhere like on BF2RS.com. I know for a fact if I caught him cheating, I'd post about it for the sheer principle of showing everybody that the #1 guy is a cheater. The most common threads on any BF2 site always seem to be about some guy cheating. Yet, no thread about Firestorm cheating...sure. And lets not forget about EA...who have shown that they can just as easily make a mistake as anybody. I mean, lets look at all the bugs in BF2, the crappy expansion called Special Forces, and the crappy booster pack Euro Forces...not to mention patch after patch that never seems to actually fix the problems they say they are going to fix like the red tag bug. They can make mistakes, and until shown some kind of proof showing Firestorm cheating, I'm going to believe what he's said and believe that EA punished somebody innocent.

EA owes this guy an explanation. No doubt about that. And the sooner the better.

I'm more than a little curious myself.

I just want to know IF HE DID IT.

If he did then EA should say so. Its not like this is some billybob noob stats padding some knife kills here. This was one of the top guys on the ranking system.

It concerns me if EA hasn't given this anymore thought than that.

I hope they would and would say so.

EA doesnt really care and they wouldnt openly admit the mistake for fear of liability/neglegence.

They already have our money when there finished with the expansion packs they will drop support for this game faster than a ton of bricks

It would surely make sense to even a child that learning from your mistakes is a neccesity of life, so why is the reason not given to allow you to learn and what is the point of punishment if it doesnt deter others- as in we dont know what we are meant to be detered from by the example of your stats being reset.
Obviusly EA will know and have relevant evidence to hand to explain all this and would be so confident in there actions that they would want to be as open as possible about it to instill into the community that they know what they are doing..... they'd also be desperate to show there support for the ROE by quoting the relevant paragraphs if applicable.....

just a little background heads up about those complaining about accidental resets..

when a player or server gets reported to either bf2rs or bfroe, the report is investigated then submitted to a higher level admin, then it is reverified before getting sent to EA,

EA then does their own investigation before they take any action, so each report goes thru 4-5 people who each look into a player or server before decision is made to the outcome of each report.
