The trouble is if EA has made a mistake there is no going back once the stats get wiped. They can't restore his old stats. The guy has been playing for so long now I really can't see any point in him cheating. His stats have been clear from any noticeable cheating.

Also Lin knows him very well and would you think they would give him admin rights if they thought he was a cheater?

It doesn't add up if you ask me.

He already told us why he didn't want to post the video: because it shows how to perform the exploit.

who cares, let people see how it works, if they use it , they get reset anyway, and people will use it till it's fixed.

it's easy to say, I have a video but I won't show it to you guys. I will show it later on .

also, looking at the score graph of firestorm, there isn't anything special about it, every litle peak he has also peaks in hours played, and his best round score was ...... 256 points, wich is less then the smalest jump you can make with this glitch .

First I believed him, but now I am getting suspicious .

I also want to point another thing out on this commander glitch, it's indeed in the game from start , and some dude I met in the game got his stats reset months ago for this glitch while he didn't do it on purpose , EA support mailed him back they where sorry but they couldn't do anything about it anymore, reset is reset, same story for firestorm, his stats are lost forever, padded or not padded .

all togheter it comes to the fact if EA shouldn't be more carefull with resetting stats, some dude from EA answered in that thread , and if you read his answer, you would think they don't reset for fun, and it is undergoing some proces, wich makes me think firestorm cheated after all.

this is why I want to see the dam video.

what I don't get, is when the guy is recording stuff with fraps, how on earth can you see how they do this glitch in a video taken by someone else ?

Exactly. If it stays hidden, EA is just going to reset stats. But if it's a widespread problem, maybe they'll get someone to look into the problem. And maybe the whole system would get reset, but that's just wishful thinking. :p

1. commander exploits give score in function of 2^n (hence you are seeing the max round score of 256, which seems REALLY suspicious).

2. You DO NOT have to be an admin to use the commander glitch, I believe.

The best way for EA/DICE to fix this would be if everyone knew how the glitch works, then for sure tons of newbs that "discovered" the secret would be doing it just to "test" or for any other reason, and you would have a look at the leaderboards and the first 500 would have zigazillions of global score, obtained through commander score bug.

Then, probably EA/DICE would fix it...

Lets see if they finally fix the game when BF2 goes from BETA version to FINAL :P
While we wait, and maybe never see that happening, we just have fun now how the game is, and lets hope they fix something in the future, or not.

sorry to knit pick, but indianscout and BFROE does not report to bf2rankedservers.com, although we may share some of the same functions, the two organizations are seperate in reporting to EA.
