    Jesus Christ.

People, calm down, it's a game. Leave the name-calling for Private Messages.

By the looks of the leaderboard, it seems like they missed about 10-15 people.

FireStorm has his own server. FireStorm is ALWAYS the commander. back when i was still playing BF2 regularly, he would often do the commander glitch during the wee hours in the morning or there aren't a lot of ppl (or they're all his friends). he would only do it for a couple thousand points or sometimes, just a few hundred.

a few weeks ago, i submitted a FRAPS recording of FireStorm doing the commander glitch back in early October (of last year) and BF2RS/EA only did something about it just today. i didn't submitted it then because honestly, i didn't care. but now that a lot of ppl are abusing it, i do care now.

it's about time he got reset.

            good job, EA!

            EDIT:

i'll post the video once EA/DICE releases a fix for this glitch. the video shows how to do it so i don't want the n00b server admins to do it or ppl who are friends with server admins to get a few easy hundred points by doing the commander glitch.

now, i'm surprised they haven't done anything yet to the #5 guy - [N)@(M]Kain!

in case you don't know what happened...

[N)@(M]Kain got his EXPERT knife and pistol badges on the 7th of March. coincidentally, he was found on a Knife and Pistol server the NEXT day:

IndianScout, who is the BF2 ROE Director knew about this and reported it to bf2rankedservers.com:

Virus888 merupakan agen slot deposit qris minimal 10000 rupiah tanpa potongan apapun untuk bermain slot bet kecil 200 perak pada seluruh jenis provider slot gacor pasti gampang menang maxwin tahun ini 2026.

but still, more than a month has passed and nothing has been done. whereas they were sort of quick to react to the FireStorm video. i guess once [N)@(M]Kain moves to the top spot THEN they'll do something...
I am currious just whom you sent this fraps video of the commander glitch to within the BF2RS program. If you could please send me that info I belive that we can help clear a lot of this up.

And as a reply to the undertone of the delay in stats reporting and or possible resetting of any player .. there is no set timeframe from reporting a player to stats being reset as a rule... so that it may not be monitored by the public. If you know its comming (stat resetting) you are going to try and find a way to dodge it.. so it is done in a way that does not let you know that you are about to be reset. Even if your information was the information used as part of the investigation of any player it would never be relased to the public that you were the person that submited the final " evidence". If I were in your shoes I would NOT be saying anything along the lines of " I got ta firestorm reset"... because no one player can do that to any one player.

thanks in advance for your reply.

And I hope that this helps clear up some of the confusion.

I have been told that the commander hack has to do with something that causes server to overflow, thus can only be done in the power of two.

Oh by the way, don't call me a retard. the commander hack has been done a long time ago and does not need admin right to proceed.

Also, I will say again, I am fine with commander score up to 500, but it's the specific number (256) that seems to be suspicious.

So any word on what EA or DICE is doing about the glitch besides resetting peoples stats?

Hopefully they'll reset everyone's stats when they patch up the problem.

Hopefully they'll take Global Score out of the game and make everyones lives better. Leave everything else, just take out the damn global score.

Wrong all you need to trigger the commander bug is BF2CC and server admin rights and it can be triggered on any unsuspecting guy that just happens to be the winning teams commander.

I have seen the information that the C.E.O. guys documented after they 1st used this glitch to make everyone aware of it. I would post it here if not for the fact I would probably get banned. Trust me it has nothing to do with Hexidecimal powers or the value 256 etc. Just blatant admin abuse and a bug in the ranked server reporting.

umm, then you must forgot how every exploiter in the leader board has a score that's close to the power of 2.

Also, you don't even need an admin to help you, there are servers who can produce this.

Rofl Any random number for example nx2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2

where n could be any value between 1 and 200

is eventually going to end up somewhere near the power of 2.

dude, do yourself a favor and start learning some first grade math instead of spending your time on BF2.

                                16,777,215 = ( ( 2^24 ) - 1 )

Looks fairly close to me. I believe the point is consistancy with numbers of 2^n - 1 in the stats could be used as sort of a signal to investigate further. Of course, with smaller numbers, it's likely to be coincidence, with larger numbers, maybe around 2^16 - 1 (which is where a lot of those 65535 numbers would come in that you see in a lot of screenshots/stat pages in question) or once you exceed 2^18 - 1 where the gaps are exceeding 100,000, would it be questionable.

And btw, what school did you goto where they taught exponents in first grade?
