Why does the thread title say "for TFTs". It should work just as well for CRTs.

An answer to your question was posted on another forum, ill post the part of there it talks about CRTs

Unlike CRT's they don't have to constantly update the screen. They only update when new data is available, however they can only update so fast. If the framerate is lower than the refresh rate, you're fine, however if it gets higher, it can produce tearing. Remember this is speculation on my part...

I do not recommend this tool to anyone especially for people that play BF2 alot. This would be bad for those that would like to keep there video cards

How do I make sure Vsync is enabled in driver settings? I'm using ATI 5.12 with no control panel?

Do you have .net 1.1 and 2.0?
Do you have the latest directx?

wow I realy makes the game a lot smoother but I still dont get it what .net 1.1 and 2.0 does it...

and do i have to start the game all the time with that tweaker thing?

its strange that dice couldnt make such a simple and very useful change in their patches......

.NET is just like the Java Runtime and VB Runtime, it makes the DXTweaker program work. DXTweaker is coded in the .NET environment and therefore needs those files to run.

You will have to start it through DXTweaker to use Triple Buffering yes.

This has NOTHING to do with DICE, it's something nVidia and ATi should optimize and consider using.

Agreed but they wont , why because of microsoft.... microsoft will NOT
give WHQL certifcation if they directx triple buffering is added, why
i dont know ask ms!

No choice, but it doesnt take very long at all and hardly uses any resources
just pretend its a game launcher
