i just turned on vsync wit my 1800xt and man wat a difference. the fps is only 60 cause my monitor is only a 60 hz refresh. boy wat a difference i only drop 1 fps now lol no matter the situation such a performance boost for me{game also looks a lil better while looken around}. as for the tripple buffereing i will try and turn that on and see wat happens.

the tripple buffering helped i guess wit wat lil stutters i had. i never thought vsync was good till now its a godsend GG.

Does the same thing work in the nvidia is you enable v-sync and tripple buffering in the nvidia control panel?

you can force Triple Buffering with Ati Tray Tools (you have to make a game profile first)

less fiddling about than DX Tweaker.

not sure it works on Nvidia cards, heard a while back it might do but i have no way of testing it.

Thx for the quick reply. Shame this fix still doesn't work. That makes sense now regarding game.lockfps, as I recall seeing some interesting texture tears even though I wasn't going over 60fps.

Are you TFT guys just putting up with the "tearing" or going back to vanilla vsync and fps drops to 30/45? I just got done playing thru HL2 w/HD textures and vsync on, after that experience, it's hard putting up with the tearing on BF2 now..

I scoured the forums for vsync fixes and no one ever mentions this command as a fix in of itself. If I simply set 'game.lockfps 60', isn't that acheiving the same goal as running this fix, but without having to run a seperate program and enable vsync in the drivers?

PB still blocks it. No, just because it's running at 60 frames doesn't mean that the monitor and card are in snyc.

Ok I got the D3D thing but now I get kicked from servers by PB because I have Multiple D3D things loaded?

Ok now that I try start BF2 through the DirectX Tweaker it brings up a error screen: D3DX9_26.dll is missing?

What can I do???

EDIT: Should I have it on my comp? Or should I just download it from the internet and throw it Windows folder?

This is the best patch ever! I'm running on 1280x1024 w/ medium/high settings & 2xAA and it looks and runs so mad, and the mouse is not jerky like it used to be - I'm going to go on a murder spree, my stats suck!!!

I'm going to read through the thread, 11 pages is very long, I am trying to work out a way I can run this using gamespy, or another way I can connect to servers (in my city there are about 4 vry popular servers and i just busy server redial them until I get into one :P)

but.....having said that.....if someone could direct me or even point me in the right direction that'd be great!! :)

(ps I found this thread/ forum when google'ing for bf2 tweaks/hacks (graphics), I have tried so many hacks and patches and drivers, and reinstalled windows so many times and this makes it run totally good and not laggy at all, i so cant believe it..)

which makes me glad, coz i have a p4-775 3.0, 2gb ram, 250gb wd sata 8mb, & sapphire x800 xt platinum, so it should f***ing run good!!!!! :)

I believe this works better for TFT's than CRT's but i'd say it's been covered
