3DMark 05 score: 7443 = pretty damn good
CPU score: 4614

Is the CPU score a bit low or is it where it's supposed to be?

Turned off Hyper threading and it went down. 5532 and 63000 on aquamark3 ???????????
Thought it would have went up. Didn't turn off any back ground programs at any time.

it differs a little from run to run HT don't do much for 3dmark05, maybe few points difference

Hence the fact that the CPU is important. Saying its not for games like BF2 and benchmarks like 3dmark will lead people to think they can use their 2ghz intel with a 7800GTX and get high scores like those with AMD FX55's.

If you're going to say they don't matter specify that they don't matter unless you're below a certain limit for your card.

my amd 2.4 BOTTLENECKS a mere 6800 GT. If you CPU upgrade I,d arge a AMD 64 3500 is the mun for BF2 and a decent GPU.

Interesting to compare to Nvidia SLI although I don't have a Crossfire master for this system ... yet.

I'd really like to find some standard, straightforward demo that you could run under bf2 with standard video settings to benchmark performance strictly under bf2 but it has eluded me.
