Sorry to poo on your parade, but the black and red ones use different metal compounds. In the thermal tests, the red one did a lot better than the black Nvidia one.

I'll find the proof in a sec.

How do you go about updating the BIOS on a video card?

There are programs, usually DOS mode that handle it. It's useful but have a backup card on hand always, preferably PCI or integrated.

I have to say though the red colour is sexy on my sapphire one the sticker is crappy quality.

I have to say the picture quality has improved as well.I ran bf2 at the settings at the setting i used my 7600gt at and the colors seemed more vibrant.

dell still tells me my card is "in production". new ship date is jan 7, presumably of 2008.

i'd be angry if i didn't get it--well, some day--for $240 with $50 cashback from paypal.

your looking at full load temps of around 50-60 and idle temps in the low 40's or more then if the stock cooler already performs superb.
