*Serious gasp (as in, I'm not kidding, I just can't think of another way to emote shock...)*

But then who would take over in your stride?

    And what happened this time?

      Re: The "Random Thoughts" Thread

Nobody would take over unless someone came out of the woodwork and volunteered. Aside from Signa who helps with some moderation and admin stuff, I pretty much do all the news, reviews, previews, and begging of devs and publishers for giveaways here.

For no reward. MyIS wants nothing to do with the site and they haven't for ages. Crrrazzzy took this on as his personal project but even he is difficult to hear back from most of the time about things (upgrades, site outages, broken portions of the site, etc.). I don't get paid for the work. And it seems like it's a lot of work for no payoff while I know others within a company are doing a-ok in terms of receiving pay.

Wow. That really sucks. I like it here though, its probably the most visited site by me since I arrived here in Australia (and subsequently started gaming). Have you thought about getting like another moderator intern or something from one of the (last few) frequenters? I do wish that most of our original community didn't give up on BF3 though. Its not that bad...

Still wonder if there is some way to bring traffic back...

It's not about the traffic or the moderation though.

Ah, so has it been that way with MyIs for a wee while now?

Hey, how is that black widow working out? My Lycosa is having fits and I think its time for a replacement. Not sure what to go with atm.

talking about that, I received yesterday my new mouse, remember this thread?: http://totalgamingnetwork.com/showth...hlight=headset

It's the logitech g500, and i'm loving it! Thanks for everyone who posted, recommended and helped me out. I'm still getting used to it in games, but the first time I touched it I had goosebumps from how well it fit my hand

It's great, I love it. First modern mechanical keyboard and it's great.

                      I have the G500

Thanks Zips. That helps. Is it loud when you type? Keys feel weird or anything?

I hate looking for new stuff.

It's a bit loud but the Stealth version of the BlackWidow Ultimate that I have is quieter than the non-Stealth. In fact, most mechanical keyboards will be louder than if you have the rubber switches.

From this post you can see what switches do what. I have a "Cherry MX Brown" with the BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth which is a great middle ground for gaming and typing.

It does take some getting used to. It felt really weird at first since I had a Zboard before this one which meant that the Zboard keys were lower profile, obviously weren't mechanical, and made no noise. However now, I can hit more than three keys without my computer beeping thanks to the anti-ghosting tech on this keyboard. It's quite nice. Also the backlit keys are sweet, each one has their own light, it's not a single light spread out across all keys.

Concurrent players and a great argument for games to include mod tools...

Can't wait to try that mod, I was watching CHKilroy videos in youtube and was really sold on the game/mod.

Now I have to get Arma Combined Ops ... and Diablo ... dammit I need June to arrive so I can have a good 1 month vacation.

Im considering getting it, but I got lazy on the home site when I saw all the files I had to download... wasn't in the mood earlier to figure out how to install.

On a partially related note, I participated in the "relay for life" for the cancer council last night/this morning. Tired as hell. though for a good cause.

(Basically, its a 24 hour relay)

Need some help. And it should be a quick answer so it's not worth a thread at Tech.

Are usb wireless adapters as good as a PCI one? The modem is about 4 meters away from my desktop but Ethernet cables are starting to get on my nerves (too many cables around the desk).

Would you help me out with some recommendations on both? (usb and pci)

                                Thanks.
