I like how the "What's New?" at the top ignores the color tags used. :p
But I'm not sure who to blame more here. EA? They obviously gave the green light for this distribution of that many copies to Machinima. They are also the ones that put an embargo on reviews to some time this morning, well after the Machinima people put up media over the weekend and well after the game was released at midnight last night.
Do I blame Fortyseven Communications instead? They are the ones who act as the go to for press inquiries for EA. It's absurd. This comes about a week after I got screwed over on Medal of Honor. Meanwhile, someone else who isn't even part of the press got keys for both MoH and Need for Speed and he didn't even ask for them! Someone at EA that he knows just GAVE keys to him! Even better is the fact that he got those keys the day of Medal of Honor's release, while I had my request in for these games at least a few weeks in advance!
So for anybody to sit there and tell me that they have "limited availability" on review copies is a flat out lie. I'm tired of being fed those lines.
Edit: Wow, I actually just heard back from someone at 47 about this and they apparently work with clients (in this case, EA) to hand build distribution lists. Nice to see that TGN isn't important enough to EA for a key that they can make for free or that someone can simply add to my Origin account so that I can do a review for their product. Even bigger kick to the nuts considering TGN is owned by MyIS, a GSP that does a TON for EA's multiplayer.
