Nintendo apologized to fans for the delay.

Earlier today, Nintendo announced that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 was delayed until Spring 2023. A very vague release window of "2022" was provided last year by Nintendo, but we really haven't seen nor heard much about this sequel for quite some time.

Nintendo provided a new look at the game today.

During their E3 Direct, Nintendo showed off a little bit more for the upcoming sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Interestingly, they aren't exactly calling it Breath of the Wild 2 in their press release, so it may end up having a different name entirely when release rolls around.

Speaking of which, Nintendo says that this sequel will be released on the Nintendo Switch in 2022.
