First Major Optimization Patch Released for PlanetSide 2
Today marks the first major optimization patch released for SOE's PlanetSide 2 on the PC. It's being called Operation: Make Faster Game (yes, OMFG) and is just phase one of a multi-part effort to optimize the game. It includes an optimized UI, physics, sound, player processing, rendering code, and more. It says that some players will see upwards of a 30% increase in framerate from what they used to get.
