i just bougt bf2 for a friend(birtday) and now they release a S_H_I_T game about the year 2142 they dont even know how the world look like in that year and weapons im real a non-Sci Fci guy
just like most pll say make a MOD but not a Full game where u have 2 buy the game for 50$ and a year later comes bf45837832xxx out....

To me this is just too soon. It hasn't been a year since they release BF2 and they are hard at work to get more cash in the fall. Like someone else said, the BF series has always been "based in reality". If I wanted futuristic stuff I would play UT or Quake or something. I think they are many more things they could have done in a modern warfare era and still come up with a hit. I guess we just have to see how this plays out.Comment

LOL, I am having a REALLY good laugh at all of these posts. And all of the other post BITCHING about how EA shouldn't release content.
a) This is basically a mod of BF2, yet it will have a cost associated with it, big deal.
b) No one is forcing you to buy this or any other "booster pack"
c) The release of a NEW game does not effect the game you already purchased. People STILL play 1942....and that was out 3+ years ago.
d) A game company releasing..GASP...GAMES?!? WTFOMGBBQ!
Everyone who complains about booster packs, expansion packs etc. just make me laugh. Don't buy them if you don't want, but the idea of trying to rally people to boycott a game release, for no good reason, is just stupid.
I for one like change, and I am looking forward to this release along with the other quality free mods that are coming...(FH2 I am looking at you).
1.5 years is MORE then long enough for me to play the same basic game, just because you guys want to get 25 years out of your $49.99 shouldn't effect me.

If it were next year, BF2 was totally fixed (they have the money to do so) they were giving it a new engine, and it looked like a decent piece of software, I'd buy. But since they're going about it the cheap, greedy way, screw em'.Comment

The gaming society in battlefield 2 is going to drop rapidly. All the childish players will move on. But that means more empty servers and not many people online at once. That means like if i go on tonite 'boout 10s of thousands would be on bf2142 and bout only 5000 or somtin on bf 2. Not something amazingly fun, to be seemingly playing with a other few devoted players. just a "few". I know a few seems like alot but i like it when alot of poeple are on. Not just the normal people.
