Yey, let's all just pretend how wonderful BF2 is.

Ooops, sorry I'm not allowed to say anything like that am I?!

So my guess is that EA downloader was tested by same group of people. I pray it won't crash on me when I get home and download the Euro pack.

          OK BIG PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got the same thing as - krrendel:

          sorry... Whats this?

Im download this booster pack and install it. But i cant play it.
          Help?
          I've got the same thing,

now, as Cigar_Man has explaned in the later post:

You need to fix your player name (gamespy account name) in your account info.

The easiest way is to load up the EA downloader and login. There you will see the info to get the manual and below that is a link to edit your gamespy nickname (which is your ingame player name).

You can also go to the ea forums and login. Then on the top right, you will see "Change Name, Logout" and an area showing your gamespy name. This name must be the same as your bf2 player name.

          That should solve your problem.

Well well well. This is VERY disappointing. I'm going to see if I overlooked something, but it looks like I just wasted $10. I can play the maps fine... on my OLD account. I just joined a clan that required I start a new account. The clan uses the prefix for your rank (not game rank, clan rank) and has =US= at the end. I've only been in the clan for a day so perhaps things wont work out and all will be well with Euro Force, but I like it so far and don't mind starting over. But apparently you can only access the maps from within your main account. Very disappointing indeed. Hoping I find a fix to that. But other than that, everything went well and quite painlessly.

Edit: I commited the age old sin of not reading before I posted. I'll try that fix.

I am downloading too. I made a new EA account, I hope that is different from my BF2 game account cause I used a different name!

You got to be kidding me. I installed it, and it says I don't have it installed??

Does the EA account I used to purchase it have to be the same account I use to login to BF2?

God damn it, why didn't they say explicitly the EA Account you use to buy it has to be the same as the login you use to play BF2??????
How can I get this corrected?

                            now...

I've tried to do what Cigar_Man said.

but... on the GAMESPY, my account ID is daliup@gmail.com (the whole email)...

on EA my name is daliupx

I've just registered with EA today... the reason? 'daliup' was already taken!

I'm so confused I don't know what to do now...

I opened up EA downloader... I logged in... clicked on the Edit GameSpy nickname... it took me to a page, Downloads Info... my Edit Battlefield 2 GameSpy Account Name - the name was 'daliup@gmail.com' I tried to change it to 'daliup' - which is the name that I use to LOG IN to BF2 when I star the game.......... IT SAID THE NAME IS ALREADY IN USE!!!!! What do I do now?!??!?!
When you paid for the EF booster pack, it asked what your gamespy account name was. This gamespy account name is you BF2 player name.

Whatever name you use will be in a file called gp.info in your root EA BF2 directory. This file has the same info that comes up when you start the BF2 game and login to the account server.

The name that you use to connect to the account server, is the name that you use for gamespy account in the ea downloader.

When you fill your info in order to buy, you have to chose a region (top right corner of the page). What is it for? Canada is not there?
