Re: Battlefield 2: Euro Force Released

I am confused by your reply.

Could you please re-explain as with the EA Account, gamespy account, and my BF2 account I can't tell what you are saying to do.

    Thanks

Ok, I got it. You just change in your EA ONline account the gamespy value, which is REALLY your BF2 account login and NOT the gamespy system login!

          Phew!

I'm not sure what the problem was, but I was relentless and finally fixed it. It's simple, and of course follows all the advice given so far, by Shawn and others, but the problem was that it took about 15 times for it to finally work.

As stated, you open the downloader after the game is on your computer and installed sucessfully (sorry, this explaination is for the problem I was having only, not installation problems) and click on "Edit Gamespy Nickname". This opens up a small IE window where you are supposed to put in your username and password. For me, choosing both Forgot Username and Forgot Password only sucessfully resulted in one reminder email out of severl attempts. I put in the information it said was correct, and was told that my password was invalid. I tried several times over the past hour, and it finally let me in. As soon as you're in, it's a simple fix. You're already on the screen and just put your name as it appears when you log into the actual BF2 game. It's automatically updated.

However! There is apparently a 3 times per week Gamespy nickname change limit in effect, so make sure you enter your name correctly.

Thanks to Shawn for the information and my own stubbornness for not giving up. Hopefuly the login error is fixed so others like me can get in with the corect info on the first try. It wouldn't seem so crazy then!

            Good luck.

            my problem is that -

When I did exactly that, and tried to change it to my INGAME name, it said that my ingame name was already in use.

And now I've used up all 3 times. So basically, I've just wasted £5.99 and about 5 hours of my life. And it's ruined my mood! I'm ****ed off!

Were you logged into BF2 and alt-tabbed out? Or still logged into anything with that name? Did it say that you can't try again for a week? Yes that definately SUCKS! Sorry man =(

Took me half a hour to register, download and to start playing the game.
Why would anyone want a CD?
You have highspeed! Might as well request for a bunch of floppies

Then seeing how much problems some in the community have with this really explain a lot on the overall attitude!

For most of them its probably a wonder their PC still boots up correctly

Its because of them PC gaming will die and all publishers will move to console!

But hell, they have no suport over the phone FFS!

Great wall of China.. Whenever you touch a wall, you jump up, or turn.. Screws up your aim.. It also has lag.. So far, it's the only map I've run that has lag using 2gig OCz memory..

I haven't had any problems with my booster pack... Euro Forces seems to be just fine for me.

All in all it was worth the $10.00, the euro's are cool... although they do sound like retarded americans with the voices, lol.

Guys, how do you filter out servers that only use Euro Forces? So far I like the expansion pack weapons, they pack a nice punch.
