You MUST have a Gamespy account to DL it.. Then use EA downloader and login with that account name..

Alright you guys, I've already had to ban one person from the forums because of this thread and it's only on it's second page. Please lets try to keep the EA/DICE bashing down, if you don't want to purchase it, then don't, but we all don't need to hear your personal opinions on EA's business choices. I don't want to issue more bans, so please lets keep the thread civilized.

Guys, I have a question...and I apologize if it is in the wrong forum or if I should start a new topic...(move if you have to).

I made my purchase and got my download...the problem is that I play at work under a different account name as I do at home. In the next hour, I will be heading home to hopefully install everything there...do you think the downloader will throw up a red flag? Or, do you think that I will get a nasty invalid CD key error on server join? I don't want to make the extra purchase if I don't need to and I am nearing the stage of panic. :p

Let me know what you guys think.

Bought it for my own reasons, Great maps, Tarabura is sort of like Zatar however its the best place for tank wars.

Great wall is fun too, I am yet to play the other maps :)

If you have 2 gamespy accounts, it should work.. It seems to be tied to GS, and your e-mail addy..

I just dl'd it tonight played like 5 mins on one map, I'll check it out more in depth this week. From the looks it seems ok. But then again I am a BF2 Junky and will get all bf2 add-ons.

worked for me, straight in no problems, the message saying about the weird last page error happened, but it says thanks your your order and now its downloading, cant grumble, i love this game!!!!

i DLed the ea downloaded and when i install it the ea downloader exe icon on the desktop disappears when its done dling.....

I am confused :)
I never made a gamespy account in BF2, I just used the ea account I made when I installed BF2.

Do I need to make the Gamespy one now too and then I associate it with BF2 Europack?

Please help so I don't mess up this purchase! :) Thanks!

well, i downloaded the gamespy arcade and it auto logged me in using my ea account, so im confused to lol, not that this is helping u :|:, the downloads r slow to, i thought they were uncapped (thats what it said i swear)

Well all the partnerships make the downloading slightly difficult, but I managed to figure it out after 10 minutes or so (and that's after a 9 hour work day). Just relax and pay attention to exactly what it's asking. Go to gamespy.com and click "login" on the right hand side. Don't choose "Join" because that's something different and costs money. Login will give you the option to use an existing account or start a new one. The part that screwed me up a couple of times is that I like to keep my logins and passwords familiar, but my username was taken because there's apparently a partnership with AOL. So I used my AOL (AIM) information and then that's what apparently was supposed to be used in the downloader. I've got my fingers crossed that the download goes sucessfully and both my EA account names can access the new maps.

Sorry LEFT hand side. It wouldn't let me edit my post (and something kicked me offline for a sec...) but downloader is back to downloading...

This feels so sketchy. I decided not to download Red Orchestra today. It comes out in stores later this week =P

It's this explanation that is confusing, as I do i need to create a gamespy account and the affiliate my BF2 account with the gamespy account for european booster pack?

You can keep one GameSpy account name on file at a time. To play the map under another profile, use the My Account page to edit your GameSpy account name.

This is unclear, do I need to install gamespy? And how do I make sure my BF2 account is associated with Gamespy if I make one?

Yo Yo, i am gettin the same as krrendel. Any clues as to whats goin on, or is it yet another patch!! i am totally upd8d with the patches, just downloaded EF and cant get online, or offline for that matter with it.. Help
