As much as I do not like EA sometimes Pirating games is complete Bull Sh*t. You have to go to an art school or be part of a mod team to truely understand this but there are people behind every piece of work you play in BF2. They didn't do such a bad job, it's the people who pay the bills and get the cash back that suck.

As for this booster ... Ya I am torn on the issue, I think it's silly to consider a booster anything but a priced Patch. If EA had support for BF2 that gave Bi Monthly updates more players would brag about how mucht here purchase was worth wild. Incouraging there friends to buy the games and play with them.

I think the focus should of been added features. Maybe a Patry system for you and your friends, various game types, heck Clan support would be a much loved. I wouldn't pay for it but if BF3 had it, It would be a great improvement and at the same time set a standerd. BF2 has set standerds but it also has lacked some.

Plus I really want the Eruo Force Box on my wall with BF2 and Special Forces. I like the boxes. I'd be more willing to waste the 10 dollars on a Hard copy in the store over the 10 dollars online and so would your average Teen who can't house a credit card in his waller.

      Ah fully vented.

Oh and POE looks more exciting ... lol I don't care if it isn't perfect. The effort is clearly more visble with mods.

I had the same problem. Hit the back button and click it again, but this time hold down your ctrl button.

I think pop up blocker is stopping something from proccessing.

I've tried IE and got the same result, and I don't use any pop up blockers for IE, cuz I hardly use IE as it is anyways...

by the way, what is the GameSpy Account Name ? Is it my in-game name?

Any way to find out if a BF2 server is running the Euro pack or not, other than the obvious, getting kicked when an EF map comes up?

Hey buddy i was having the same problem and i couldnt quite figure it out until now. after you login to gamespy or file planet , the nick name that is used after that is ( your gamespy account name) I have 2 so after i login to fileplanet i choose the name : ******** then i put it in two times as my nickname and it worked. it is not your in-game name and you have to have an account at fileplanet.com or gamespy.com or one of several other places and make a nick name through your account.

Meh it doesn't work oh well...

Two questions - if there any price difference for the Download and the hard copy? (Or, if I buy-download the game will I recieve a hard copy through mail?)

Will I only be able to play the game ON IT'S RELEASE DATE? And not today? (If I do decided to downoad it after all).

You need to fix your player name (gamespy account name) in your account info.

The easiest way is to load up the EA downloader and login. There you will see the info to get the manual and below that is a link to edit your gamespy nickname (which is your ingame player name).

You can also go to the ea forums and login. Then on the top right, you will see "Change Name, Logout" and an area showing your gamespy name. This name must be the same as your bf2 player name.

                      That should solve your problem.

#1. There is only a download. Even with the boxes that were sold in Germany, you just got a download code. You must make your own hardcopy. I recommend copying the eadownloader install to the cd also.

#2. Well, if you go to the Battlefield2 site, you will see an announcement that EF is available. I purchased, downloaded, installed, and have played it so it must be released. And, YES, you can play it today.

Gamespy account name is the same as when you log into the game, also make sure your not putting name and then password on that website. Its actually asking for the gamespy account name twice.

                        Not name then pass...

As far as I know the booster packs arent going to be released hard copy, only via download. Though I could be wrong.
