Its rele fun... easier to snipe someone out (if you were good) The UAV is easy to take out (a little to easy) So far amazing..

I feel so left out =( I stayed up to nearly midnight because of the German release. I was almost late for work trying to get TBF2 and Battlefield2.ea.com to load this morning to see if any official release had occured. During my breaks at work I tried both sites and finally saw the official release. The rest of the day was pandemonium luckily, so it passed fairly quickly. I drove home really fast. REALLY fast. Probably kind of addicted considering how fast I drove. =P Got home, confirmed that German patch had destroyed my computer. Uninstalled everything BF2 related. Reinstalled. Took about an hour including the 1.1 forced by SF and SF itself. Then used the 1.2 figuring 1.12 wasn't required. BUNK! BF2 doesn't work anymore. Tried installing the 1.12 over 1.2 and BUNK! BF2 doesn't work. Actually fails at 62% load which is an old and fixed problem. Just uninstalled and reinstalling again. Nearly 20 hours after being one of the first to download the patch, I'm one of the last to enjoy it =( *sniffle*

Downloading incremental........getting 10kb/s.....as usual, can anybody tell me how to fix it.......two years ago I was getting 100kb/s and I have done numerous reformats.....

If you read through these posts, there will be many different mirrors that will get you a lot more then 10 or 100 KB/s.

50 minuts left here, it's going pretty fast though, faster than i expected 178 kb ps

If you read through these posts, there will be many different mirrors that will get you a lot more then 10 or 100 KB/s.

I'm talking about my downloads in general, all are like that.

i really like the new guns especially the p90 cause its from stargate sg1 and atlantis.. I agree but i cant wait till i rank up so that i can unlock the new weapons

I'm talking about my downloads in general, all are like that.

Either the servers are getting all hammered, or else it's just on your end with your computer or your internet just being sluggish.

Hey All,

Could use some advice, I downloaded the new patch and installed when i went into any game I am unable to see any of the buildings or sandbags or flagpoles. Yes I have a fairly lame card (ati 9200) however until this patch had no troubles playing the game on low or medium,

any suggestions other than a new card, (which i realize is long overdue)

Just for some basic solutions:
Make sure all your drivers are up to date, mainly your video card
ATi Catalyst 6.2 is the newest IIRC.

And maybe re-install BF2 completely, with the new FULL patch (357MB version).

patched??? the game still lags like mad when inside any buildings. How bout fixin the lag like seriously,what a waste of time.only good things were the new weapons and the improved "Aim" of the AA. Its not like we haven t brought this up like a million times.

I can now put FSAA up to 4x without lag at all, I used to only get a 2x FSAA setting with it running pretty decent. But now I get even better FPS with 4x FSAA enabled. GJ on DICE for that improvement :P

What's your system specs like PSyGN0S|S?

Mine's like this:
AMD 64 3500+ @ 2.5
1GB PC3200 Corsair XMS @ 240 MHz 1:1
nVidia BFG 6800GT @ 425/1125
2x74GB Raptor RAID0
Asus A8V Deluxe

With the settings all the way up to high, excluding the lighting and shadows which are at medium... I get about 50-70 FPS @ 1280x1024 w/ 4x FSAA.
I used to get about 40-50 FPS @ 1280x1024 w/ 2x FSAA.

any anti-tankers here?

I constantly get missing reload animations when I fire the anti-tank missle. Most time I have to check, if its reloaded on the right bottom corner
Its not a server lag, tried a few different servers.
