The only thing I hate about this patch is they foobarred the Special Ops and his C4. I dont care about jumping and throwing but to lay down 2 C4s then one nanosecond later the detonator pops up, then I go boom, then I see C4 in my hand for a split second.....Ummm didnt we have this same exact problem a few patches ago? Well this game is starting to become like JO and what Nova did to JO.....

this new sniper is awsome... i love the sound. i dl'ed it this morning like 3 minets after it was posted... right b4 all the sites started jaming up... the rapidfront or whatever got it to me in under 10min... thanks verzion fios 15 meg:p

This patch sucks as expected. Can't wait until Quake Wars buries this noob filled game. The next thing you noobies that were crying about jumping and firing should ask DICE do is add an RPG /roll function so that everyone stands still for 5 secs and it kills someone randomly and awards you with the point.

I got the full patch (which is helpful now that I had to reinstall) in about 12 minutes from this site:

I've played for a few hours now and so far I've seen -

Noob toobers still screwing up games
Heliwhores raping maps
Ridiculously accurate new sniper rifle
No bunny hoppers but jump over a sandbag and your a sitting duck

Bit of a disappointment :cry:

Hmmm, I got a patching failed message.

It says that it has successfully been patched though, not sure what to believe. I'm going to try it out.

Edit: What version did you use? I used incremental.

Yeah, I've been getting patching failed errors too =( And then it says it's sucessfully patched (after saying patching failed) and neither bf2 or sf will execute properly. This is after a fresh install (also, 1.1 failed the first time around oddly).

EDIT: Finally got a sucessful patch. To those experiencing problems, I can only suggest to keep trying. It's aggrivating because it takes a lot of time (get 3/4 through the patch then fail, try again, etc) but might work for you since it did for me. Got my sniper unlock. Was hoping I'd have more than just one, or more than one to choose from, but since I'm new to the game I guess i still have a hell of a way to go. Just made Seargent two nights ago (same night I hit 25 hours for paid2play). Defragging, then have to reload shaders, then it's time to play =)

So what's the deal with the new maps - can everybody play them or just the folks with the Euro Xpack?

Just wondering because they appear in our BF2CC map list.

The problem with the incrimental is that if it fails you're screwed. You'll have to repatch with the 1.12 and then try the incrimental again. Otherwise, you'll get an error saying you need 1.12 (I already ran into that problem). But if you've got dsl or cable and try that link I posted earlier (which is just a relink from earlier in this thread) you'll get the full thing in 10-30 minutes. Worth it in my opinion. Good luck.

I only had 1 game with the new patch, and have never seen so many people together on foot ? Got snipped allot which seemed a bit crap and never seen so many heli's flying around with smoke ****ing out of them. Id give it 8 - 10 take awhile to get used to. next patch should balance it a bit better.

Allso the mini gun is crap : I shot the **** out of 1 guy & didnt kill him, allso respawn keeps going to kit selection ?

ALLSO ****ers are still bunny hopping. Why dont they take out jumping and use climb like H&D2 ?
