bosx2, I have noticed something similar to that, when I was playing as support, the animation for throwing it wasnt there. I threw an ammo supply bag and it didn't have the animation until the next one was being thrown, so it was out of sync the whole time I was throwing them.

Not sure if anyone else was having these problems or not.

Either the servers are getting all hammered, or else it's just on your end with your computer or your internet just being sluggish.

Yeah, I think the second thing is my problem, any ideas on how to fix it?

hey do you need the incremental you get the 1.20? cause i downloaded the 1.20, installed it and even resarted my computer and it is still in v1.12. Why is this?

I don't lag unless I get on 64 player servers.

AMD 2500+
1.5 gigs ram
9800PRO Video card
All setting on medium except Terrain and Texture filtering which are at high
1024x768 resolution at 4 x AA
Refresh rate at 85hertz
If your game is at 85 hertz and your monitor is at 60hertz you will get frame lag. You should check to see what you monitor refresh is at.

Some basic things you could do is just to restart your modem for your DSL or Cable or whichever you have.
Some other things you could do is probably clear out your temporary internet files. Check for spyware and viruses.

Most of the time it's not the case of spyware or viruses.
But that's just for me ;P

Just make sure that there aren't any programs open that could be hogging your internet connection.

I saw xfire using almost all of my bandwidth for uploading, which was slowing down my connection, when it was uploading the new BF2 patch. -_-

You need the incremental if you already have 1.12 installed.
If your re-installing fresh you need the full patch although you can install the full over the 1.12 and that will work as well.

I got the patch from mirror sites... tried the official site, 10kb/s max on my 2MB connection - it felt like a date! - You really want IT, but gotto wait... in the end it's all worth it though :P lol jokes... :)


Ok, I LOVE the patch... no bunnies, not dolphins (oh can't wait to see what they do now) you can't even throw bombs/C4 etc. while jumping.


One BIG BIG problem - the jets. The jet missles are EXTREMELY accurate against another jet - and the flares are no use against the 5missles that you have. Once you've released the flares the following set of missles will get you, even extreme manouver is not big help at all. That is one VERY big dissapointment. They should have AT LEAST added more flares/faster reloading flares (like on helicopters) to the jets.


While the jet-2-jet missles are extremely accurate, they aren't as accurate against attack-helicopters - the missles just miss them (ofcourse, you can stil hit them, but alot of missles just miss the helis)

The AA are extremely accurate as well, good thing they don't move around, at least flares have some use against the AA's and then you're gone out of the AA's range - but jet-2-jet missles are a big dissapointment.

I feel like ALL the skills that I have learnt in all this time flying the Jet (over 132hours) have been taken away! Just like thast!

I've been waiting for this patch like it was the second coming of Christ. But honestly, after all I've been through today ( about to start my third reinstall of EVERYTHING) I'm very seriously considering giving up on BF2 and selling my computer. I try to be so understanding with technology, and never limit myself on price or research, but I've finally reached the line where enough is enough. I did a detailed thread of my latest reinstall and everything worked up until the recent patch. Hell, maybe I got bad versions. I tried an incremental and a full, reverted to a restore point and I'm still screwed. Considering how much I've spent on this computer and in general, both fiscally and in time, I'm finally falling apart on the BF2 issue. I know ya'll reading this who have had no problems don't give two poops about my problems, and I'm not trying to get your sympathy, I'm just posting my possibly farewell to this thread, forum, site, and game. I WILL admit by this point that I'm slightly drunk, but I've been trying to fix this for hours before my first beer. The beer is simply to help me try and enjoy the experience (along with the "silly" thread). I'm happy most of you are enjoying the new patch. I wish I could even get BF2 to work after instlaling it. I know that I'm a minority. But unfortunately I always am when it comes to stuff like this. I just thought a negative voice in this thread might be worthwhile to someone.

Well just tried playing Sharqi, didnt get 100 from main spawn with helo 5 times, Snipers a way overpowering now (one shot one kill), EA has screwed this game up severely and it isnt was I paid for. Sorry peeps I think I will be sitting out for now on..
