Re: Two BF2 'Booster Packs' Announced

I like the idea of the Booster packs but maybe we should pay a low priced one time fee which allows us to get every booster pack EA creates, instead of shelling out more and more cash every time a new booster pack is made.

So is this how it is going to be?

          booster pack delayed?!

for some gay reason i cant make a new thread. can anyone tell me why that is? how does one earn such a great privledge as to share information?!
and secondly, i just heard that the EU booster pack has been delayed!!!! (pc.ign.com)
and thirdly, how can they sell the game only online? i have one computer. i will not bank and game on the same pc. they have to atleast sell registration keys at stores, sort of like buying play time for WoW.and then u download the files from EA. what do you think?

Read some of the other Euro Force threads and you'll see that's exactly what they're doing in some countries

Its just 10 dollars man. How much does a cinema ticket cost in your country?
1.5 hours film vs months of battlefield fun.

                I just have a question.

Why Ea is not selling Euroforces and Armored Assault in the same package rather than selling Armored Assault a month after Euroforce???

I'll still not buy it, but it would be a little more consistent than 3 new maps in one and 4 in the other.

I think that EACH expansion divide the community, so F**K EA!!!!

I LOVE DICE, BUT I HATE EA SINCE THEY BOUGHT DICE.

Re: Two BF2 'Booster Packs' Announced

After reading thru this entire thread I had to register and drop my 2 cents.

First of all, for me, BF2 has the potential to be a great game. As we all know when it was released it was full of bugs and unbalanced gameplay.
(Personaly, I would never released a game that was so full of holes.) We see an effort to fix the problems that plague our games. While it takes forever and some issues that may or may not needing tweaking are changed, I say, that any support is good support.
                  As for maps, 3 different sizes on a single map is not 3 different maps. I think alot of you feel shorted in this department. If the box said 6 maps I still would have bought it. You might ask why. Several reasons, as an avid FPS gamer I have come to expect certain things in my games;
                  1. (Some) Free content; almost every hit FPS game has it. And no, a single map is not, to me, free content.
                  2. Mod support; get your most devoted fans creations a chance to show what they can do.
                  3. Community Relations; while not non-existant, many gamers here feel that a door was shut in their face.

I have noticed that the majority of people posting feel that the upcomming content should be free. So from a business standpoint you would want to do what your customers want. EA, on the other hand scoffs at the majority and decides to sell (or force you to buy) all further content. Now, I know I just hit a nerve in the EAD (EA Denfenders). Before you hit post reply, think what would you be saying if EA released the content for free? Would you post about how crazy they are for not selling the "booster" and just call it what it really is; "what-should-be-free" content?

I would (and I assume, many others would) feel much better if both "booster" packs came together as 1 pack for $10.

You are very right, $10 is not that much, but then again, not that much comes in the booster pack.

Re: Two BF2 'Booster Packs' Announced

I'll bet you a majority of those people who posted those comments who want it for free are also very young and don't have a job/money. From a business point of view on this whole proposition; I would view this as an opportunity to cut out the middle man and make it easier to manage the content delivered to the customer. Now if you're posting against them releasing it only online and it is because you are too young to buy it/no CC/DC or posting comments from your parents house; than I don't think that those people's comments should be considered valuable.

Sorry I just see it all the time all over the forum, these guys are so desperate to get it that they just spam the board with their pointless comments instead of playing the game or working to earn it.

Re: Two BF2 'Booster Packs' Announced

                      You miss my point,

Re-read and check the numbered points.

It does not matter how you pay for it; kids have parents, and a downloaded file can be re-downloaded. My point lies within the booster pack and the game itself. We have a game that is a contuation of a series, a series that always took pride in its product. But the last 2 recarnations have fallen short. Along with the nickel-and-diming of the fanbase, I've played every BF game, bought all the expansions etc. I have no reserve paying for a good product, and one that supports its community. I do however when the same thing I got with BF1942 and BFV where free. You want to sell me 6 maps and a host of new weapons, now thats a product I could feel better about buying, but first please fix what I have bought already.

All I'm going to say is this.
Didn't buy SF,heard nothing but bad things about it.I saved some momey there.
If your stupid enough to pay for a "expansion" "booster" pack when Mods will wipe the floor with EA's,Dices shoddy skins and minimal new content then you either have too much money to spend on sh*t,mummy and daddy give you money or you need to get a life and stop paying for rubbish that could have brought you a few beers or a mail order Thai girl.

you must have not looked to far when looking for good things about SF. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/ba...?q=battlefield .... 8.1, that's pretty damn good.

Or someone gives it to you for a gift without even asking for it... 'tard.

                                Yeah, mods are the answer...
