heh... but you know whats cool about all this? valve knows that their somewhat losing customers and/or making their users annoyed. but the kool part is they will now do something spectactular to get us back... like hl3 with no strings attatched... or lawsuits or delays.



who knows perhaps they're create some patches that will make the old cs (1.6) a addicting balanced game once again.

That's not how things work. You can't just flip between publishers because they did something you dislike.



It's important to remember, the publisher is the CUSTOMER of the developer. Generally, they fund the projects and take the biggest cut at the end of the day. We don't know just how much of the IP VU own of Half-Life 2, but I'm pretty sure they have at least some say in how it will be released.

Doug Lombardi has said that Valve funded the HL2 project 100% themselfs.. So I really don't see any major claims Vivendi can make here..
