Wonder if you are gonna be able to download hl2/cs: source through steam cause they are gonna need to seriously add some more bandwidth if that is the case. These games will be a couple of gig at least.

I tried to translate the important parts, that is to say, Mr Johnson and Mr Cliffe. Sorry for my bad English...
Erik Johnson:
Counter-Strike Source is just another step in the development of the actual Counter-Strike 1.6 and not a standalone sequel. That is why we don't call it Counter-strike 2. It is just a way to give the current cs fanbase an opportunity to experience their traditional game with the Source feeling. There won't be major changes in gameplay in Counter-Strike Source, at least, at the beginning...
I don't translate the female voice because most of the time it says nothing new or interesting for progamers like you... but before Jess Cliffe it says:
After having developed and published the game Valve plans to publish new content like maps and new gameplay features step by step.
Jess Cliffe:
The Source Engine gives us a lot of possibilities to create maps that are ten times bigger than today. We can build large outdoor areas like jungle scenarios or cities that are kilometers (or miles
long and not limited to some blocks.
This changes the whole approach of mapping. We have no limits and we can build a map according to the gameplay...
Erik Johnson:
At the moment and also after the release we will focus on physics in multiplayer games and how we can integgrate realism in the game. Gameplay will feel less static, not like in a picture as it is at the moment. It will definitely make the game more intense. For example, barrels will drop and rubble will fly around you after explosions...
Ms PCGames:
The version you actually watch will get some additional working, especially, textures will be modified.
Counter-Strike Source is available for free to all owners of Half-Life 2.
The current release date is...
Erik Johnson:

Well, seeing as they are remaking old maps that shouldn't be much of a problem. There will obviously be newer maps that ARE bigger, but if you don't like them there should be plenty of servers running the new dusts/aztec/inferno/cbble/etc...
Umm one of the reasons I like cs so much is the small maps, I don't want this to turn into Desert Combat. =\
Also, I can't really see CAL/CPL playing 5v5s on a map that is miles long.Comment

Hmmm...
I'm having problems playing the video back. I have just about every codec installed (DivX and Xvid, for video editing that I do), however, the screen is green and Windows Media Player crashes everytime I try to watch it (at least I get sound). Other applications will not play it either. Any ideas why?Comment
