I dont think the physics will do much in CS:Source.. in the current CS u can still push tables in doorways if the mappers choose to do so.
But this comes at no cost to performance in the Source engine; all the functions necessary to make the table move is in the engine itself, I believe.

Large maps are great, providing the layout isnt too complicated. Id rather play iceworld that piranesi for example.

did no-one else notice the lag on the player names, on italy when he does the weapon bounce, watch the name of the T he kills, it seems to flash 0.3secs after he has moved, so you see the name of where he was, dont like that
A few people have said this, thinking that theres some sort of lag with deaths or the bullets. But if you watch the video closer you will notice that the guy you are seeing playing at italy, doesn't actually kill the T, his teamate does, which you see to the right just before he throws his gun down.

Thats the best part of it! Its free... wait... Anyone else going to recieve the HL2 Promotional Copy from ATI's Video cards? I hope its CS:Source is included in that too :)

My favorite part will be the new physics, and any new, larger maps that will come out to take advantage of that all. Hopefully the game will become more than just point and shoot (although its fun :)

                  omg great video.

                  3 things:

                  1. Dust looks superleet

                  2. If someone doesnt show me nuke in CZ or Source soon, I'll kill DaveJ

                  3. What the hell are you people talking about lag? Get some contacts and stop smoking that bad weed, children. There were two people shooting the guy, fucktards. No wonder you suck at CS as it is.

While I'm at it lets make it 4 things.

                  4. You people with your unclever release date delay jokes are so unfunny, it hurts.

I'm not sure but I think there are 2 audiotracks on the PC Games DVD (one with the german dub, one without).

Same here, it would make that video card one of the best buys ever :-)

the player model animation looks dodgy from what i could tell in the video. i hope valve will choose to keep the current animations, and just give them a bit of "spit n' polish".

also it would be criminal of valve not to add exploding body chunks. ala grenade & c4.

there is no cost in performance if u can push a crate in the current version of CS.. like pushing the table in cs_estate

of course in CS:Source the physics is much more advanced such as having the table flip over.. but it's just a gimmick.. it adds to the realism in the atmosphere but I dont think it will revolutionize gameplay.

vehicles (done right) on the other hand might add a new type of gameplay with solid code to back it up.. no more floating tanks or tanks stuck high in the side of walls..

10x bigger?!?!?! then what happens when theres 1v1 left and they're on opposite sides of the map?

Probably new game play. A conquest mode a la BF1942 lends itself very well to large maps. And who knows, maybe some larger maps will have vehicles and respawns. All we heard was "maps 10x bigger", theres many other things that could make this very balanced.

Why cant they just do a direct feed of the vid so we dont have to squint when we watch. :\
