    PC's are so unbelievably expensive...
they are? compared to consoles? bang/buck? ...not to mention paying up the bunghole for a rediculous monthly subscription just for the 'privilege' to be online? i'm sorry but i dont agree with you at all on that one.

i'd suggest taking some time to learn a bit more about your PC. im almost certain you'll save money in the long run, and have a greater gaming experience because of it.

if you were to argue the privelege to be online, then the internet for your pc would count as well.

So HL2 and Doom3 for the xbox. Yep, Sony is screwed right now.
That's because their console is outdated, and too weak for this stuff.

exactly right, but don't console users have to both pay for whatever dsl/cable they use plus the monthly fee for XBOXlive? that's what i was getting at. most people will be online with their computers anyway, why pay an extra ~$10/month (not sure what exactly the price is for X-live) to play the same games you could on one's PC (probably with better graphics, sound, etc. if desired as well)?

that was my point. the whole extra out-of-pocket expense. it just doesnt make sense to me to have to continue paying for a game i may have bought three years ago... ...and one i can't mod to my liking in some cases.

Nah. I wouldn't say that. Even if the Xbox gets exclusive rights to those two titles (I belive it does), Sony still has very little to worry about. The PS2 is still destroying the Xbox in terms of sales. I own both, so I can say that my opinion isn't biased. I hope the Xbox versions all see good Xbox Live support.

While I'm sure the majority of people here will agree that it's better for the computer, they are giving people the option.

There's really nothing wrong with releasing it on Xbox unless they spontaneously decide NOT to release it on PC. And since that ain't gonna happen, then no worries.

As for me, I never could get the hang of halo's system. While I can easily use a joystick for moving, I can only use a mouse for aiming, especially with precision. I got better over time, and I beat the single player mission (on easy) overnight, but I got nowhere near the competitive level needed for higher difficulties or multiplayer.

However, when I do make my inevitable Xbox purchase when I've got money to toss around (maybe in like a year), then Halo (and Halo 2 by that time) is definitely on the very tiny list of games I'll be getting for it.

I don't know why people are complaining that the Xbox will get HL2. Console gamers shouldn't be denied of such a promising game simply because it will look better on the PC. They will still pay the same $50. Anyhow, on the Xbox, aiming with a controller takes practice, but it isn't very hard. The online compatibilities are strong and Xbox Live is worth the money. (I know, I have a two year subsciption.) Right now, The Xbox is doing good game and salewise. As a owner of most of the current generation systems, second to my PC, the Xbox is my favorite machine.

No, last I read in PSM (PlayStation Magazine) and a few other sites, HL2 is coming to the PS2.

lol that game is so hard on the highest difficulty, still haven't beat it to this day.

If that's true (and I can't help but think it isn't), the company that does the port is going to have a really fun time porting all the DirectX features over...
