I'm currently stationed in Korea on fort rester. I have talked and know many snipers. I know how they shoot and obviously you don't. The scope LETS THEM SCAN the area after the shot(snipers usually have already scanned the area before shooting. Why would a sniper use his eyes to "scan" a target a mile away? Well I never said i can´t get a kill. Just rushing with it on terrorist side and killing more than 1 is almost impossible, at least against skilled opponents. Situations against 2 or more are now much more difficult.

Touch a nerve, did I? If the league players are as good as you apparently think you are, then they will have no problem adapting to this very small change. If you have real skill in game, this will not really affect your play that much.

You're very right - it doesn't affect me. I don't have a problem adjusting to new situations. You on the other hand, appear to have great difficulty adjusting to change and must strike out verbally against anyone who differs in opnion - poorly I might ad.

But seriously, most the people that dislike this update are just whiners, and look at 1.3/4 days, they STILL haven't stopped complaining about that, so I doubt they will change anything back as they know its for the better of the community as a whole, not just pleasing one small group.

when valve release an update it should propagate to ALL of the content servers around the world. right now, the fucking americans get all the updates first. then the rest of the world.

As I said before, I haven't seen a lot of accuracy changes with my personal fav, the AK. The crosshair is bigger, so it takes a better eye to center an enemy's skull. Eh, I'll just put 3 in their chest, and the recoil will take it to their frontal lobe. No change.



<3 the ump though.. it's worth the $1700 now. If only they made the HS sprite maybe 10 px smaller it wouldn't stick out as much, but, eh. I know when I kill someone w/ a HS, as they go flying backwards like they... got shot in the head.



If there was a toggle for the xhair size, I think that would give people a de facto advantage, as it would make a gun seemingly more accurate.



Either way, lots of people will say they're quitting CS with this update, but never quit CS. Same with damn near every update in CS history. I think the updates make playing CS more like listening to Overseer's "Supermoves" and less like listening to Barber's "Adagio for Strings." Gives more of an adrenaline kick to playing, if you can get my drift...



Either way, there are other games out there, I play them, and I play CS. If I'm just off in a serv, I'll go and play NWN or something. I really can't help but fault you if you don't play anything other than CS.



I just hope one day, people who complain about the smokes being too laggy for their Voodoo 3, or the new models being too hard for their integrated shared RAM video chip to handle realize that it's their own problem and not one of Valve's. One of these days I have to get screenshots of my FPS standing in a bunch of smoke, standing in T water on Aztec, etc; to point out how mistaken people are when they say it's someone else's problem they haven't improved their box in something like 4 years.
