Calm down now. No need to get angry.
PS: Thought of another problem:
When's the last time you heard of VAC being updated?

Does anyone else find it funny that so many people claim CS is dying, yet are not able to provide any numbers to back that claim up?
Considering the number of people I've introduced (and gotten hooked) to Counter-Strike in the past year, I honestly have not seen any reason to believe that CS is dying. Heck, even our stupid April Fools joke showed that a lot of people around here weren't here last year when we did more or less the same thing last year, and the year before. That doesn't imply to you that more people are coming into the CS community? Yes, some old timers have quit, but they're being replaced by new blood.
For all the main guns used in pro leagues, the first shot is always dead accurate, if you're standing still.
I guess the "randomness" issue is what I want to comment on. I can't help but find it strangely ironic that someone claiming to be a "pro" with "good aim" is complaining about the recoil that CS1.6 has.
"Why is that, Nighthawk?"
Sure, I enjoyed bunnyhopping like an idiot in pre-1.4 versions of CS, toting my deagle and blasting people to pieces easily. But you know what? That really wasn't all that hard to do, because all I had to do was point somewhere basically at their body, hit the trigger a few times, and they were gonners.
When I busted out my assault rifle, why not fire in full auto mode? Just point in the general direction of all the enemies, hold down the trigger, and watch them drop! How skilled is that, really?
Now, I have to be a lot more careful where I place my shots. I know that when I go full auto, my accuracy is going to hell faster than rizzuh downs a $0.99 cheeseburger. No, I can't just point over that way and count on sheer numbers of bullets to kill my enemy.
Now I have to make sure I line up my very first shots. I can't panic and let off a huge spray. I have to make those first 2-3 bullets count, and land every one of them where I want them, if I'm going to take my enemy down.
Skill you say? Increased recoil has made me focus on my aim a lot more than I ever had to in earlier versions. Sure, I can try full auto now, and pray for good luck from the sheer volume of bullets, but odds are the guy who lined up his crosshairs correctly before pulling the trigger is going to kill me first.
Placing your first shots where you want them is skill. Increased recoil didn't change that. If anything, it's more difficult now for a new player to kill an experienced one. Making hits and kills easier to get isn't more pro -- if anything it's less professional.
Pro mode? Certainly not. Sounds more like a last stand against the progression of CS to me, and that's not something I support.

3) I don't like the skill gap in Counter-Strike. Counter-Strike is the only game where someone who has been playing for three weeks can kill someone with years of experience just simply because of game mechanics. The only thing seperating the best from everyone else in Counter-Strike is shear experience and the ability to know when to make "The Right Move" against your opponent.
Wow.. thats just retarded. THINK ABOUT IT. As in real life, any Joe Sixpack with a .22 can cap a real life SAS Agent in the back of the head.. Seriously, a gun is a _GUN_, it KILLS people.Wow...that's just retarded.
K-16 wrote..try firing against a wall standing and crouching, the recoil is exactly the same. this is in "lan" mode and "net" mode. ie, cl_lw 1 and 0. you will see crouching has a negligible effect on lowering the recoil. but it does make u a sitting duck for that m4-sprayer.
Technically the recoil isn't the issue here. Crouching and firing in bursts does allow you to control the recoil
K0brakai wrote..you dummy, ALL recoil IS random in cs!!!!!!
does that mean you're agreeing with me? I wanna leave recoil, just the randomness i would like to see reduced. :)
Is it harder to hit while strafing, or harder to hit the strafer? should it be that way? (not asked as a rhetorical question, i want to know what people think)
