      QuickDraw wrote..

      1. I don't think it's a rip-off: It is a rip-off.

      2. The bots are good, I did not say they are.

      3. No up-to-date graphics in this game. Just additional maps. (read the damn review)

      4. The people who don't have great connection should not buy the worlds no.1 multiplayer online fps...

      5. The people who don't have great connection should spend their 40 dollars and get a REAL single player fps with REAL up-to-date graphics. CZ has up-to-date graphics for 1998.

      6. The people who don't have great connection and still want to play cs should spend the 40 dollars on 1-2 months of good cable service. Once obtaining the good connecton, within a month's time, find and dl all the cz content that can be found on the net (as most people like me already have). Then they can realize how shitty cz is relative to the REAL new games coming out this year. At which point they can come back and thank me and proceed to yell at your stupid ass. Then with the remainding time, they can realize that cz = 1.61 and just dl the steam cs1.6 which now supports offline play. With that they then just install the cz maps and deleted scenes skins (which i both have so with their connection they can contact me) and then after they have the PODbots, skins, and maps, they can use the remaing time they have with a good conncetion and dl a massive amount of porn, which is not available with the retail cz. Or another option. They can get a cheaper DSL connection for 20$, and with the remaining money, buy a good mouse, or perhaps a year old game (as opposed to the 3 year old cz), or they can buy an old shoe and throw it at the numbskull who suggested that they purchase cz.
      AMEN!

this is rather funny, i might say. i don't see a difference between cs 1.6 and CS:CZ. first, because who plays cs with bots? only the 56kers, or 36.5kers but that is all, so from my point of view valve is trying to get as much money out of this game as possible, even though they know they are a bunch of idiots(sorry) and if they only had released this game 1 or 2 years ago they would have made a lot more money that they will make now, WHY? because CZ is the crappiest game that is being released in 2004. for example Far Cry, or we can also add here HL2(if it is released, who knows), or full spectrum warrior. jeez i can keep going and going and going. anyway, my point is, why spend 40 bucks on a game, that has the same features as cs 1.6?)which BTW is free), i feel sorry for the people who actually THINKS(note i said think, not will, because if you will, they you are just plain retarded) on buying this game. WHY you ask? because, after XS:CZ is released, someone will make a stand-alone version of the bots, for CS 1.6. some other guy will convert the CZ maps to CS 1.6. and there you have it, CZ for free. oh and i must also add here, that since valve released the new off-line play option for STEAM, it will be even better, in fact it will be just like playing CZ offline, but on steam.

so there ya go, those are all my reasons why i think CZ is a rip-off.

the new tutrle rock cz is so fucking gay i cant belive my eyes. i downloaded the rutial verision of cz from this german cs site and it absolutely rocks. now the new cz is just gay normal cs but with bots. no story or new features (apart from nice maps) or nothing. this pissed me off. valve, sierra, who ever pulls the stings you both suck for changing it from rutials verision.

Hey! I ordered it for $30! I guess if you own CS and you're using Steam, you can get CZ for $30 instead of $40. March 23... I'm not sure about the UK release date, but I'd think you could get it through Steam then, but I don't know if they'll have boxes there then.

Nice article but it still doesn't convince me to try CZ. I'm waiting for CS2 and new weapons.

While I am glad they sacked ritual on the development, I do wish they had kept rituals models. 3 years is too long to develop a game and keep the same models as there were on the original release, IMHO.

I would be willing to wait another 3-6 months for a complete game engine overhaul, new maps, skins, weapons, and stuff. VALVe is definently living in the past, back in 2002, and should seriously consider whether releasing the game now is a good investment.

I think if VALVe hadn't put so much money into development they would've scrapped CZ long before now.

Sorry, VALVe. I'm still a big fan, but CZ is definently a bit too questionable.
