I am 16, and I've operated the M16A1 rifle since when I was 13. As long as you can learn to hadle a rifle and show maturity when handling it, I don't see why there is a problem with teens handling rifles. Abusive teens, on the other hand, do pose a problem.

I don't know if anyone here remembers, but during the DC sniper trial, john lee malvo tried to say he learned how to snipe people playing counterstrike. This event had nothing to do with the game other than the fact that is where they meet, and the media is trying to play that up. These kids could've meet on any other game, chatroom or message board on the internet and this still could've happened. About gun control, i think it should be harder to get one, but no way should it ever be illegal to get a gun in the US. In england only crooks have guns, not even thier police force carry them, that would make me sleep well at night..ya.

hah as i stated i have never hunted nor do i think i would want too kill a deer with a mak90 or a bazooka or whatever if u want meat go to the fkn grocery store. if u want too kill things start with yourself hunting is far from a sport. i guess i could concide too you killing something with a stick or a rock but what fun is it really too shoot something with a freakin mak90 and how in the hell is that respecting nature and woods. i am on the other fairly good in the woods and go camping alot i just choost too shoot targets for fun or skeets and i certainly dont need a mak90 nor do u
Like I STATED before, it's your problem, NOT MINE. You don't like it, too bad, I have a right in this country to own and use a rifle if I so choose that is legal that is stated in not only in the US Constitution and my local state government's laws. Whether you like that or think it's wrong is again YOUR PROBLEM. It's my CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to own a gun in this country and to have some unknowledgable moron tell me what I should or shouldn't own because they "THINK" I shouldn't is laughable.

What I hunt and how I hunt is also my choice with what I use to hunt with. A MAK-90 is a SEMI-AUTO center-fire rifle (one pull on the trigger, 1 shot = semi-auto, hold the trigger, continuous fire = full auto) that is a "sporterized" version of a AK-47 and is LEGAL and has no pre-ban assemblies or action.(aka full auto capability) The rifle is no more deadier than the next bolt action rifle. A firearm is a firearm, whether or not it kills anymore or less is pointless, they are all DEADLY WEAPONS that should be treated with the respect they deserve.(and the fact they don't kill PEOPLE, PEOPLE are the ones who pull the trigger, not the gun) Whether you see it as inhuman or otherwise is also YOUR PROBLEM, I see it as a hobby that teaches me about our enviroment, guns(gun safety), about animals in thier own enviroment. ANIMALS are ANIMALS, they are not people folks, while I do believe they should also be given respect, preserved and protected, some are ultimately here as part of our "food chain".

Due to your contrary beliefs, we are not barbaric killers who slaughter all animals on sight for cruel enjoyment.(Hell, man has been hunting animals since the dawn of time, and probably will until the end of time, get over it. WHERE DO YOU THINK HAMBURGER MEAT AND STEAKS COME FROM ANYWAY???) We are sportsman, most will only hunt trophy deer, moose, etc etc, i.e. full grown males with a large rack. There are also game "bag" limits imposed by the Federal Wildlife and Fisheries Management to prevent such things from happening as well.(with heavy fines on those who do hunt over said limits) Personally however, I will NOT hunt a Doe or her fawns, I do draw the line there.(as do most responsible hunters) Same goes for other game animals as well. Most hunters also hunt not only for sport but for consumption. Animal meat is far more healthy believe or not than anything you will find in a store, that's a fact. I know alot of hunters who are also great cooks as well and love wild meat.

In short, try researching some FACTS before you go spouting what you "think" is right, then maybe you actually have an arguement to your "case". I have about 20 years of experience in this matter, (I am 28 now)being a avid deer/squirrel/dove hunter. How many years do you have I wonder? Again, come back when you actually have some relevant point(s) to make aside from your personal opinions.

Here in the UK (more than just England, thanks) citizens are allowed firearms provided you can show good reason for owning one (eg. competition target shooting, pest control, deer hunting). There are various restrictions which I won't go into, but we are allowed firearms.

Increasingly though, the Police in certain areas have had to resort to carrying weapons on regular patrols (as opposed to Armed Response Units, which arrive only when required).

In the case of this Canadian child, I think the blame should be put on the parents. They allowed a minor in their care to be in control of an automatic weapon, and access video games not intended for their age group.

americans still thing they are in the age of conquering the wild west. IT IS OVER. still, a lot of people think guns are needed to protect their families. however most of the injuries and deaths that happen with those guns are by the owners fault (childreng havign access to them etc). people watch action movies and TV serials thinking the world is like that. well your wrong. i cant belive how mindless moronic the american people are(atleast some of them).

and people blaming a realistic first person shooter that has lots of neat guns in it, that might seem to manipulate to the players minds, in the eyes of journalists, but in reality, its just a game. for it to have any influence on your mind, you already have to havea mental disease.

Where the hell is it in the constitution. It's in the BILL OF RIGHTS. Please know what you're talking about. Even if it's in the Bill of Rights, that doesn't mean you can do whatever the hell you want with it.

It's referring to the army and bearing arms to defend your country back in colonial times, not to go shoot a fucking innocent animal, because it has no real meaning today. Learn your fucking stuff before you tell other people to do their research.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Btw this is coming from a 15-year-old. The mom that did buy the AK is plain stupid, should be locked up as well as the kid.

You guys need to learn how to read... it simply said he went to a Catholic High School. They never specifically said he was catholic, religion isn't an issue here, they were simply talking about his school without actually giving out the name, probably on request of the Highschool.

Anyways, why do people feel that killing innocent animals for sport (not even for food) is a good thing? Hunting is (imo) the biggest waste of a "sport".

Maybe if you were respecting nature, then you wouldn't be hunting at all. How would you like it if some other animal comes up to your family and starts killing each and every one of you for no reason, and there's nothing you can do about it?

To all you proud gun totin' Americans out there:

Keep your stupid useless guns out of my country.

If you like to hunt for sport/food, try using a bow and a good ol' arrow. I personally think they are more humane. (if you know what you are doing)

Constitution, Bill of Rights, blah blah, it's all the same piece of paper when you get down to it. They are inalienable rights and laws given to us courtesy of our forefathers who penned them and fought to the death for them. I never said I could do anything I want with them I said I COULD OWN ONE if I want to, hunt with it and it's legal thanks to those said laws. Geeezzz, talk about taking a person out of context, or getting picky. Go cry me a river please.

And FYI, the 2nd Amendment right to bear and keep arms holds true to this day, if you think this country will always be a free one look again. Just because you THINK that's what it meant does not mean that is what our forefathers had intended. Thinking and being are two different things when it comes to a nation's laws and citizen's rights.

The sad fact of the day is our rights are being taken, watered-down and stripped from us one day after the next by politicians "who feel they know what's in our best interests" and giving "modern interpretations/additions" of said laws.(us as citizens being lazy, apathetic and cynical about our law making process doesn't help much either) Go read up on some recently passed legislation, namely the recently passed "Patriot Act" which in itself is the biggest oxymoron of legislation of them all I have seen passed. Broad-sweeping federal agency powers anyone? Search and seizure without a warrant anyone? Imprisionment or detainment without notice or notification of relatives or when you will be released? Sounds almost like a police state to me! I am all for terriorism crackdowns and homeland security but at the price of my freedoms??? NO THANKS!

The forefathers of our country knew that a government will always be kept in check from becoming a dictatorship by gun-owning citizens, that is why those laws were written, why they are there and why they should remain there. Without the 2nd amendment there will be no need keeping any other amendments so to speak because the government will have free reign to control a weapon-less population. If you don't think anything like that can happen here, think again... Go read up on what happened in Germany before Hitler's rise to power before WWII. I think I distinctly remember something about GUN REGISTRATION before they started GUN SEARCH AND SEIZURE before Hitler's rise to power and assuming dictatorship! So yes, I do think I know what the EFF I am talkin' bout Willis when it comes to "STUFF".
