    stalkerboy moaned..

all these changes because some "pro" player whined.....whatever :/
if you read the article you will find it was a structured well put together argument and if you read the comments you can see that the majority of people support it.

I think its a good idea and it wont affect public play at all.

I agree and disagree with the idea of changing the money system. However, I don't see how a timeout win hurts the CTs any, because most times they know the Ts are going to save if they lose the first round, meaning they'll save as well, which makes them able to easily afford armor, m4, ammo, he, flash, and a kit, whereas Ts get stuck with just a galil and armor if even that.

I'd like to see money much harder to get. Instead of $2500 for a win elimination, make it $500, and instead of $2750 for doing the objective, make it $1000. This would truly stop lots of gun whoring in the game and people would be thinking "Well, should I buy a AWP and take a chance of losing it and not having enough money to buy another rifle the next round or should I buy a famas and have the money there incase we lose this round." Make it impossible for someone to buy an AR every round of the game even if they win. Heck, this might even make teamwork more needed. And for all you awp-whiners, it would make awp harder to buy, along with all the other rifles.

I think hes getting more to the argument that it was just because the pr0 asked for it, that its actually going ahead. Whereas some other very popular changes supported by the majority of the games audience don't get the goahead.

uh #17 even though you posted it twice, it's still not possible to have that sort of a situation.

People complain now that mr12 means too few gun rounds, and places much too much importance on the pistol round (which if you ask me, CTs have a large advantage with the USP over the glock). Your way would mean about two full gun rounds, and about 10 pistol/eco/half-eco rounds. Sounds like fun to me!

Let's not even mention PUBS. Wow do you want to play with pistols for 45 minutes a map, especially if you're not that good, save up 4 rounds for an m4 and then have to save another 4 rounds?

EDIT: I've yet to see a legitmate league player "whine" about the AWP. It's an integral part of the game. I can see not using it in pubs if you don't want to, or complaining about it if a good AWPer kills 5 people every round, but find me a league player who complains about the AWP, please.

I think that in part, it has to deal with VALVe not wanting to throw up an image of them being pushovers and going back on their actions. IMO, VALVe thinks that it would give them a reputation of being inconsistant if they introduced a change and then removed the change shortly thereafter. For example, the shield...

#17: Yes, CS could be made much harder/intelligent by reducing the money you can win. Unfortunately, it wouldn't work on pubs. Part of the beauty of CS is you can quit as soon as you get fed up or annoyed. Imagine how annoyed you'd be if you'd saved up over 4 rounds to get your MP5 (or over 7 or 8 if you buy stuff each round!) - then lost it before even firing a shot. A majority of players can't be bothered to wait again, and will turn off.

That's the fact of the matter. The game might be more intelligent, but less fun, and what sort game would CS be if it wasn't fun? Not one I'd want to play, anyway...

                Agree with naem....

As for the proposed money system and bomb planting changes, I, for one, think it's a good idea and they are being implemeted not because shaguar (A pro player) made the points but because of the response from the gamers to his idea, anyone could have written that article.

those are some great changes, it'll also be great if they updated the models, at least the player and world models.

LOL Why the hell did CS even bother leaving the beta stages. I mean ffs we might as well be on like beta 16 here.

Can someone explain to me how this negatively affects pub play? Because I don't see it...

Nah, the idea I have is that you can always get a SMG, ammo, and armor. However, you should have to save to buy rifles, instead of getting so much money in just one round that even if you die, you can still buy a M4. They should drop the max money down to $8000, so people with $16000 just don't always dominate the game, because they have all the money in the world. The idea is to make money harder to get overall, but not make the game all pistol rounds. Instead of letting people buy ARs instantly on the 2nd round, they should decide if they want to just save again, or buy armor and smgs.

As it stands, there is still hardly any reason to buy a shotgun or a SMG, when you can easily get an AR. ARs should be earned, and when a person gets one, they should play more carefully, instead of rushing into a room of 4 people and spraying them done. This would make the game more fun, because it would make domination of one side much harder to accomplish. Right now, there is no chance that VALVe will ever balance the weapons so that all weapons have a purpose (as of right now, everyone knows only m4, ak, awp, and mp5 are worth anything), so why not do a money system that makes it just overall harder to get the better weapons and once you lose that weapon, you have to re-earn it from the bottom up. Right now, I've lost all interest in the game when all I see is 3/4 of the players running around with M4s and you know they'll just buy another one the next round, even if they lose the current round.

                              Pubs are the answer.
