Who didn't see this coming?

Bots and updated maps should be given in a steam update, you shouldn't charge your fans for that--companies that like their fans, like nintendo, give whole games away for free.

Yea, what is it with VALVe and this, this is probably the last straw for many people, if it doesnt come out the next time they say it will, I wouldnt be suprised if a handful of people went to VALVe's offices and protested.
I miss the gas grenades, gas mask, flares, and molotov cocktails...:)
Give them a break, CZ has been through enough problems that nobody should be particularly shocked that there's been another snag. I'm sure the game will be better off because of itThat would have been a very fair point about 2 months ago. However, when a piece of software is deemed to have gone gold, it has effectively left the nest and should almost be considered to be out of the developers hands. The point of it having gone gold means that the developers have scrupulously scanned all code, played through every contingency, and are prepared to release the version to the printers. So there should be no excuse further than armageddon that should hold up the release even further. Unless there's a spectacular f*ck up ("B17 Flying Fortress" with porn website links in a txt file anyone) then there should be no reason for this mess up. And if there was such a mess up, I would have imagined that we would have at least had some kind of press release to clear it all up before disappointing thousands of loyal fans for the umpteenth time this year.

VALVe: Not so much.
