there is a cs:cz game out here on the net. i have seen a torrent link along wit other 100+ games. i heard from my friends that it sucked, because it was the old version and not the final....

IF you're talking about the zelda stuff, #1 that's old games, #2 you have to make other purchases just to get it, I wouldn't call that "free." Free is "no money."

I was mostly referring to the free ocarina of time game for zelda pre-orders, which I would consider free, and how they constantly give more than they need to, like metroid 1 being included in metroid prime. Yeah, you could say they're old games, but ocarina of time is just as old as half-life, and that's not free.

That isn't even relevant, it's updates for a game, meaning bugs and things that need to be altered, added, or excised. EVERY GOD DAMN SOFTWARE DEVELOPER IN THE WORLD RELEASES UPDATES FOR THINGS THEY DEVELOPE!!! Private modders and game developers release updates for freeware, you don't need money to do that! JESUS CHRIST COUNTER-STRIKE HAD FREE UPDATES WHEN IT WAS DEVELOPED PRIVATELY!!! Also, it's very interesting you bring up that fact, 5 years ago Half-Life was released, and what do they have to speak of themselves after 5 years of delays of every single project they've had. I decided not to buy CZ after getting shafted the first 3 times, the 4th one is just the final blow. In all honesty, the only way I would ever play this game is if they gave it away. I would forgive Valve for all this mysterious quietness if they apologized to the community by giving that crap away as another update. Besides, from the sounds of it, we got more content with updates when counter-strike was developed by Gooseman.
