ok i also want to add that 1.6 was A WASTE OF YUR/My TIME. NOT much changed. And i knew that from march when i got the steam beta so y was i so wanting to get it??? oh well. 2 map updates, 1 new map that suks, 2 new rifles, and 1 new eqipment. THE good: new gui menu, the 2 assult rifles, the updated aztec (it has real rain effects!!!). The Bad: EVERything else.



also i want to add that the sheild doesnt give the ct's aadvanage they have good and bad poinst but mostly bad. the provide foward protection but u lose like 60% of yur vision so a person a sneak from the sides and attack from the back without u knowing it sinch u have tunnel vison.



well thats basically it. But y did they take out the bots in the LAN multiplayer mode??? the bots where great in the beta version, for example they have a bit of "common sence" a lot of human chareristics like hiding, burst, running with knife, and etc.

sigh so dissapointing.



o yea the setup also moved the map i had dl from 1.5 to 1.6 whcih was a life saver (i had over 61 non standard maps) so i ahve to give valve a hand for that idea

hey if i want to delete the official steam and download official steam w/ cache files do i need to delete steam?

well thats all well and good but how do i stop steam eating my adsl router every time i connect to a server? I actually have to goto my bros room, turn router off and on to get net back. Hes getting a bit p/od

B@Ne: go into c:/program files/steam/



in there there will be a file called unwise. double click on this and it will uninstall steam. then go back into c:/program files and delete the program folder called steam. then u should be able 2 dl steam w/ cache and nothing will be wrong except buggy steam itself.

Hmm, you got to keep your maps but I lost my 100+ custom maps I think. Ah well, life goes on, most of them sucked anyhow.

I've played it yesterday but now when I refresh for servers none are showing up at all. I'm not sure why that is but I'm going to remain patient.

no you dont just install

i played but it is buggier than it was in january, probably play 1.5 for the next few days...player skins worked great wouldnt let me do weapons

I've only hit a few problems.

1.Can't get DoD/TFC/ect

2.The text in CS sux IMO

3.Skins can't be changed(Is this really true?)

4.Doesn't truly close on exit

5.No porn.

I don't know what everyone is taking about...I didnt download the cached version or install multiple times and I have been able to play for some time.



I just let Steam do its thing and all was fine in the end.
