What the hell were they thinking? The actual gameplay of 1.6 is different, but not necissarily bad. Everything needs to change. But the release of this update has been horrendous. I understand that they couldn't possibly get enough bandwidth to support every gamer downloading CS...but EVERY mirror they released was full in less than 2 minutes. And as if the download wait wasn't bad enough, the actual steam installation doesn't explain anything. If an error occured (which obviously happened often), the program just froze, sometimes deleting huge updates. I feel bad for anyone on dialup. GG

well, i cleared the cache, it updated the CS files and it still gives me the SAAAme shit it did before about the error

this is mindnumbing how steam does exactly the opposite for the majority of gamers, its in no way makes us happy !!

Yeah. How can anyone still on Dial-Up even try this? Even if you get it to start, you get 5/kbs. You have to download at least 400 MB of stuff to play. How the hell is that ever going to work. It would take like a week.

3 minutes left for me :) I love it how Fileplanet never freezes, if only Steam had a line system so that we truely knew that something was happening with our download and how long it would be before we played.

Yeah i've tried pure-voice a lot and it has never worked, their servers were probably DOS'd by all the people attempting to download steam.

I say we just do this. Get a machine that produces mass amounts of steam, back it up to the front doors of their headquarters/offices, open their doors, and point that bitch in the doors. Turn the thing on, and blow hot, sultry ass steam into their building.
