You're supposed to put it in userconfig.cfg

At least you guys seem to be able to get this worthless thing to work. I get an error, try to find info on the steam site. Find the same problem, tons of other people spitting out worthless information. I love CS, but I really hope they take a hit for this. God knows I am not buying HL 2.

Getting your steamid has been covered about 5,632,134 times in the previous pages of this comments thread. As for anyone waiting for stuff to happen, whether it be steam or the direct "normal" download from fileplanet, theres some new stuff at homestarrunner.com. The latest strongbad email is especially good

I'm pretty sure that cache version doesn't actually have the HL files on it, as those are another 510 MB.



388 MB accounts for the base Steam files along with the CS 1.6 cache file and directory files.

The fileplanet full download will finish before steam, and steam has been running for the past 2 or 2.5 hours... and with fileplanet i have 40 minutes in line then 15 minutes to download. They should have released steam this way in the first place ,there would have been a TON of mirros by now and valve wouldn't be wasting their bandwidth and our time.

I think the retail names is what's making those binds not work. But I could be wrong.

Bots are for offline play, and since you currently have to have an active internet connection for single player, multiplayer or LANs, they probably just left out the bots until they get offline support added into Steam.



Also I'd assume the ability to add custom models and change the gun names will be added later after the bugs from the initial conversion are ironed out. They probably don't want to troubleshoot custom content that might mess things up.

sorry for tha double post but i know where u can just download tha file (no cache) w/o waiting. direct connection. go to 7bits.net and enter their forums. there is a thread there where u can get tha update.
