I find it funny that the only thing thats wrong with my steam is my own error in having a video card that is unstable with Open GL

can nyone tell me why when i try to play counterstrike(from games section), the game freezes or i cant even load it after double clicking it(steam icon)??? im pretty sure it could b in the previous posts, but there are 38 pages of it!!1

Maybe you don't have CS downloaded? Or it could be that Steam is just laggy...That was what it was for me...Nothing to do about it really.

Hey I got a free game with Steam. I have never played Opposing Force before. I just d/l it from Steam and now I can play it along with 1.6. I think im going to play through it tonight.

yea, when i installed steam, it asked me if i wanted to clean up old files and i pressed YES, would that affect nything? btw, does it have to connect to steam to even get into games section? would that explain y half of us cant do it?

Well im back and so far im still timing out.....



I still cant get into 1.6 servers if there is people in them or if theres not most times



i have only ever got on 1.6 once and there was no one on the server and...IT WAS OILRIG!!!



thats my only problem with steam i have a 600k cable mdem and i time out.....

1.If you cleaned up the files then your old half-life and counter-strike folder get killed i think. 2. no idea 3.that is a logical reason...wish valve would ditch steam..
