I want it, because it's CS, and I can't run HL2 on this PC.

HL2 is not coming out in sept.

Erik never said a word about HL2 release, nor Gabe in the last month. Doug said the date is unchanged, but he lied as I know stuff about it.

we will see next week if it goes gold or not.

HL2 might be released at the end of the month but CS2 may not be released this year. Your going to get bored fast unless your into HL2DM multiplayer.



Since we have heard nothing about CS2 officially we could assume the release date isn't close at all. It could be this time next year before we see it. Until then we will have to settle for 1.6 and the unbalanced shield.

well, seeing how easy it is to convert any mod from HL1 engine to HL2, why can't they just release the exact same CS 1.6 for HL2? and release the HL2-enhaced version later on (since it can take a while, as we can clearly see is the case with CZ)? ;\ that would be nice, especially seeing how HL2 is optimized for the latest hardware, thus it'll be possible to get higher fps than before (and maybe some simple standard effects, like detail textures and whatnot).

many valve employees confirmed the release date of HL2 has not been changed.

CS:CZ is almost pointless now with HL2 on the horizon (end of month in fact!). It seems little point in releasing it except from skint fools who can't upgrade their ancient machines to near 21st century spec :P

this makes me sad. I used to like looking at a persons won ID and knowing about how long they played cs.



It often gave an explanation if they were doing really well (i think that long time cs players are less likly to cheat) and it was always cool to be able to type to a guy "you have the retail version eh?" and he would be all like "wtf" "how the hell did you know?" and its really just because his won ID told all....



now the only thing that will make me happy about the new numbers is if i get "1337" ... the only possibility other than that would be my old one, so that i dont have to rememner annother number.



**isnt it weird how they are releasing a new version of so many things and the biggest issue for us fans is the number ID we get?**
