Let me set all your minds straight.
That CS:CZ movie really sucks. In fact, it looks EXACTLY like Half Life. OK, the movie is low quality, but heck it's more than good enough to be able to judgje the graphics and the gameplay anyway. I'm disappointed. The character animations blow big time... except for that one headshot when the dude falls on the floor rolling in the air. That was like the highlight of the whole footage. And I don't know if anyone noticed... but if I'm right that's really sad - or just due to a crappy comp it was played on (which I doubt, since, you wouldn't want footage taken of a game that's being played on a shit system obviously). To the point: When the player enters the elevator, pay attention to the elevator's button board... I'm either really wrong or I need glasses. Did I see reaaaaaalllllllyyy crappy BILINEAR FILTERING THERE? I mean heck, that reminds me of Counter-Strike 1.5 directly.
I'm gonna watch it again and post a second opinion.
Who's saying level design is awesome?? What the #@$*(&^? It's absolutely nothing out of the ordinary... that's HL style level design!
Let me watch a second time.
Except for the aggressive style... (I mean why call people idiots and dicks right away when they post what they think?) I completely agree. I couldn't believe this one guy posting FPS actually suck on PC and that they're always better on consoles... WTF??? I've never heard a weirder thing since I know what gaming is...
Also, did you notice that in the list of games you mentioned you didn't have a single FPS game??
Kinda stupid.

You sir, are the biggest moron on earth. Since the FUCK when is a controller pad better than a keyboard and mouse for FPS games? When I first started playing FPS games on the consoles, it took me a while to get used to. PC FPS games took no time. And what multiplatform games are better on console than they are on PC? All the Unreal games are better on the PC, and I bet Halo PC will kick Halo's ass. Shut up.
By the way, I do own both a PS2 and XBox, so I know what I am talking about.

*Vamp* wrote..What the fuck... dude, you either have a really crappy computer and even crappier periphery devices... or you simply don't know FPS games. How the hell can you claim that FPSes are played better with PADS? With a mouse you can aim a billion times faster, more precisely, and when you move the mouse, your sight stays in place rather than you having to hold that analog stick because if you let go.. it will center the screen again. And if it stays try centering it as fast as with a mouse... that's again head to head with the other weirdest thing I've ever heard. It's the same, actually.
Sorry, but console FPS games are better then their PC-based counter-parts. Mostly due to the pad. Sure, you may find a keyboard and mouse easier. I definatly don't. Using a mouse isn't so bad, but the keyboard...... urgh. It's too unprecise, unlike analog sticks or even the ancient d-pad. And pads are more comfortable to use, using a keyboard is a pain in that respect. And pads are the best thing to have for FPS games. Left analog stick on forward/backward/lookright+left and right stick for lookup+down/strafe, then use shoulder buttons as fire, and the other buttons for the other random tasks..... much better then any keyboard, particually the PS2 pad (I like the XBox pad, don't get me wrong, and I think it's a perfect size, but the shoulder buttons on it suck).
As for your comment Relica..... pure bollocks. Pads are much easier to sue then keyboard/mouse. Anyone who can't use a pad properly is a remedial. You just hold it in ya hands and press the buttons... not hard. Keyboards on the other hand, you gotta span your hand right out sometimes (depending on the complexity of the controls obviously), which is just plan hard for people with small hands (like me).
And actually, I do agree with Orphy on one point: the Unreal games are better on PC. It has to be said, they did a crap conversion of the Unreal series to console - in theory it should have been fine, but they cocked it up big-time. And it wouldn't be hard for PC Halo to be better then XBox Halo - it sucked ass anyway tbh. All the PC version has to do to be better is to add a few more guns and already it'd be far greater then the XBox version (the lack of guns+ the shite controls for Halo make it one of the worst games I've ever played tbh)
As for which multi-platform games are better on console then PC...
1) Final Fantasy VIII (and come to think of it, 7 and 9 were better on console then PC, and that's saying something - the console versions sucked ass, but the PC versions were simply diabolical)
2) Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (and in fact, all of the GTA game are beter on console)
3) 007 Nightfire (shockingly bad on PC, amazingly good on PS2. I haven't yet played the GameCube or XBox versions)
4) The Thing (do'nt even touch the PC version)
5) Resident Evil (you name it, it was better on console. The Nemisis in 3 was impossible to beat on the PC version due to the keyboard not being precise enough as the analog sticks)
6) Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 (dear lord the PC version was bad. PSX version wasn't great sure, but the PC version....urgh)
Well that's six...... I'm sure given the time I could think of more, but it's 4:18 here (and I'm abit monging right now to tell the truth, could do with a shower) and I'm very tired.
As already mentioned, 'fighting games' (more correctly called Beat 'Em Ups) are better on console, though that goes without saying. Same applies for racing games. Sports games arn't better on console - or rather, they are, but they still suck on the whole.
Anyone who says pads/consoles are worse for FPS games then PC/mouse+keyboard, is either a remedial, plain arrogant, gormless or maybe they've just never actually given any console FPS game the time of day so they don't know what they're on about thus they just side with the one they know better. Anyone who's played TimeSplitters2, Red Faction 2, 007 Nightfire etc on console (particually PS2) will know how good console FPS games are (and I'm sure CSX will be no exception) - and remember, even if you hate the pad, there's no excuse with PS2, that takes mouse and keyboard aswell :p
Also, did you notice that in the list of games you mentioned you didn't have a single FPS game??
Kinda stupid.
