x7-Superman! wrote..Since when is CS:CZ and CS the same thing?!?!?!?
since when are there health packs in CS?
God it's a single player game you idiot.
Mr. Poophead wrote..Yes but at least when it's on XBox you get to use a semi-useful pad rather then a piss-annoying keyboard. And then engine is slightly different on the XBox version too, e.g. the guns' recoil works differently so that it's managable with a pad and the computer AI should (hopefully) be a bit better too (and I'm presuming since it's going to XBox it'll have decent, updated graphics too). As a general rule of thumb, most games (not all, just most. There are some games that are amazingly even worse on console then they are on PC) are better on console then on PC, unless of course the PC version gets a ton of extras or what-have-you. And XBox live is decent, because you get no laggy 56kers (like myself, although according to BT they'll have all the stuff in this area sorted soon so I should be able to get BroadBand in the next month or so), and you get those cool headsets aswell. And online cheating will be basically non-existant.
You know what else? CSX is essencially the same game as CZ, console fans. Why dont you bitch about that?
*Vamp* wrote..You sir, are the biggest moron on earth. Since the FUCK when is a controller pad better than a keyboard and mouse for FPS games? When I first started playing FPS games on the consoles, it took me a while to get used to. PC FPS games took no time. And what multiplatform games are better on console than they are on PC? All the Unreal games are better on the PC, and I bet Halo PC will kick Halo's ass. Shut up.

Serious Sam wrote..Good job taking it out of context. He said this before then.
Obviously he MEANT CS:CZ.
x7-Superman! wrote..Understand now?? He was not confusing the two. THe original comment he made was in reference to CS not CS:CZ.

*Vamp* wrote..I hate using pads for FPS games. I like analogs much better, much more precises. But I don't see how you can like it better than a keyboard. And with a keyboard, you choose the keys, and you have more of a variety.
Sorry, but console FPS games are better then their PC-based counter-parts. Mostly due to the pad. Sure, you may find a keyboard and mouse easier. I definatly don't. Using a mouse isn't so bad, but the keyboard...... urgh. It's too unprecise, unlike analog sticks or even the ancient d-pad. And pads are more comfortable to use, using a keyboard is a pain in that respect. And pads are the best thing to have for FPS games. Left analog stick on forward/backward/lookright+left and right stick for lookup+down/strafe, then use shoulder buttons as fire, and the other buttons for the other random tasks..... much better then any keyboard, particually the PS2 pad (I like the XBox pad, don't get me wrong, and I think it's a perfect size, but the shoulder buttons on it suck).
As for your comment Relica..... pure bollocks. Pads are much easier to sue then keyboard/mouse. Anyone who can't use a pad properly is a remedial. You just hold it in ya hands and press the buttons... not hard. Keyboards on the other hand, you gotta span your hand right out sometimes (depending on the complexity of the controls obviously), which is just plan hard for people with small hands (like me).Oh, small hands, that explains why. HAHA SMALL DICK. Ok, I couldn't resist the joke. Anyway, my fingers fit nicely on my keyboard. I play guitar, so my left hand is used to stretching funny, but I did however make Shift crouch in CS in stead of control, my pinky feels more natural there.
And actually, I do agree with Orphy on one point: the Unreal games are better on PC. It has to be said, they did a crap conversion of the Unreal series to console - in theory it should have been fine, but they cocked it up big-time. And it wouldn't be hard for PC Halo to be better then XBox Halo - it sucked ass anyway tbh. All the PC version has to do to be better is to add a few more guns and already it'd be far greater then the XBox version (the lack of guns+ the shite controls for Halo make it one of the worst games I've ever played tbh)I didn't say Halo on the XBox was bad though, it's quite possibly my favourite game of all time, or one of them at least. Unreal Champ was also good, but I like UT2k3 better, more stuff to do (bonus packs that you can download... the content giving on XBL is shit). And who cares about a lack of guns? You have the basics, and it works. I don't need 24 rifles and 23 sub machine guns.
As for which multi-platform games are better on console then PC...RPGs suck.
1) Final Fantasy VIII (and come to think of it, 7 and 9 were better on console then PC, and that's saying something - the console versions sucked ass, but the PC versions were simply diabolical)
2) Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (and in fact, all of the GTA game are beter on console)I'd agree and disagree. I like my PC better because less loading times. PS2 takes years to load, and I hate that. It plays nice on the PS2, but on the PC, you can do so much more. Like having your own MP3s, trainers, etc etc.
3) 007 Nightfire (shockingly bad on PC, amazingly good on PS2. I haven't yet played the GameCube or XBox versions)All shitty games to begin with.
4) The Thing (do'nt even touch the PC version)
5) Resident Evil (you name it, it was better on console. The Nemisis in 3 was impossible to beat on the PC version due to the keyboard not being precise enough as the analog sticks)
6) Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 (dear lord the PC version was bad. PSX version wasn't great sure, but the PC version....urgh)I liked it on the PC. However, I did whip out my Logitech rumblepad, because that game is meant for the console, hence it being a sports game.
Well that's six...... I'm sure given the time I could think of more, but it's 4:18 here (and I'm abit monging right now to tell the truth, could do with a shower) and I'm very tired.Shut up.
As already mentioned, 'fighting games' (more correctly called Beat 'Em Ups) are better on console, though that goes without saying. Same applies for racing games. Sports games arn't better on console - or rather, they are, but they still suck on the whole.
Anyone who says pads/consoles are worse for FPS games then PC/mouse+keyboard, is either a remedial, plain arrogant, gormless or maybe they've just never actually given any console FPS game the time of day so they don't know what they're on about thus they just side with the one they know better. Anyone who's played TimeSplitters2, Red Faction 2, 007 Nightfire etc on console (particually PS2) will know how good console FPS games are (and I'm sure CSX will be no exception) - and remember, even if you hate the pad, there's no excuse with PS2, that takes mouse and keyboard aswell :pNo, I think YOU are the one who's plain arrogant, because you're the one telling people how their preferences should be. I am to in a sense, but not that explicit. Hey, since you hate PC games so much, why are you on a CS site anyway? And by the way, only a very select few PS2 games take the keyboard and mouse, Half Life being one of them. Speaking of which, HL is shit on the PS2 unless you have a keyboard and mouse, which supports my statement.
