You're not directly referring to me, but still - I said 'my gun of choice as a CT is the FAMAS'. CT's can't even buy the Galil. If the Galil was my favourite I would have said 'my gun of choice is the Galil', irrespective of team.

I've looked through the menus and haven't found an option for this feature. It there a console command? any lend me some info...

I wasn't directly referring to dave, no. I have been playing famas/galil only in 1.6, so I get used to them for when the update is final. I just really don't understand why the famas is more expensive and worse than the galil. I also don't understand why using burst mode doesn't make the shots ALWAYS GO WHERE THE CROSSHAIR IS. If you can't hold down the trigger without being inaccurate in burst mode, what's the point?

for one thing, faster rate of fire for the burst on the famas. thats about it. i guess if ur going famas on famas and both r 3 shots away from death the burst guy would win. but 2 bursts from the famas that all land on the person would do em in. 100% efficiency.

Eh, lockhart? I tried the FAMAS with burst on about a week ago, and it seemed perfectly accurate.

CS was getting comical sometimes with the last CT stuck in a corner clutching a shield and praying that none of the five remaining Ts pulls out a knife... And it was getting in the way of rushing too. I WELCOME THE PRICE RAISE!!!! Long live the expensive useless shield!!!



In my opinion, the FAMAS is more useless in a close quarters battle than the MP5, but it really is very accurate at long ranges. Too little damage from the bullets though, so it's outmatched by every other rifle in the game The Galil just rocks, and it's so cheap, that I sometimes end up buying one over an AK. I recon 1.6 is a decent improvement over 1.5, and even if it isn't... WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT?



And for the people who whine about every little error about steam: IT'S STILL _B E T A_!!!! That means it will not be perfect, and Valve is doing you a great big fat favour by releasing it anyhow. HL is 6 years old, yet Valve is still supporting it very actively. How many games have you seen that have had this amount of support?

Since I have only heard people say "ek-oh" ( and not "ee-ko" ) I took it meaning "echo" which makes sense since the nature of an "echo" round is a consequence or repercussion of the first round, thereby conforming with the definition of "echo".

Galil is awesome, FAMAS does not suck. Shield is fine if you know how to beat it - better at $2200 than at $1000. Hated facing down 10 cts with shields with my galil and HIGH POWERED GLOCK.



I just hope they do a final of it soon - most of the bugs have been fixed. You can only polish a turd so long before you realize that it still looks like shit.
